can u
a/ tell me how to tweak my cfg to get it rite 5do i need high fps, shuld i cap them, wtf is rate/snaps....)
b/tell me how to tweak my system : mouse gfx card,....
c/tell me how to train
uploading demos/cgfs would be more than nice and rpofitable to all the noobs out here
basic settings
crate a file, name it *nick*.cfg and put into excessiveplus directory
open that file with notepad and put there :

r_finish "0" // disable v-sync couse u cant have good results with com_maxfps 125 vs 120Hz or 160Hz, wierd thing is i never tried to set is manual to 125Hz '] hah i will do that today ']
r_mode "4" // its 800x600 and im sugest u should use max 800x600

r_displayrefresh "???" // use max yors monitor can handle

snaps "40" // max amount of information resivied form server, it can be tracted same as 1snaps = 1fps, more u set more smothy game will be, but in overal it depends more from the server settings "sv_fps" couse u cant resive more data than sever is sending, max u can do use is 125(same as yors fps cap)
rate "25000" // describe badwitch of connection and 25000 is default and hell inaf for all
cl_maxpackets "60" // describe how much data u send, setting it higer will make game more smothy, but its pointles to set it under 125(same as yors fps cap)
cl_packetdup "1" // resend data one time (it will use more badwith than "0" if u do lag alot use or higer if yors connection is smothy use 0
// internet settings depends form yors connection, if yors connection cant handle to high values u become laggy
vid_restart // restart video to make sucessfull changes in settings

if u will have the file u are able now to enable it in q3 console by writing
"/exec *nick*.cfg"

r_picmip 9 it goes back to 1 on new game
make sure to put r_picmip "9" on yours .cfg with *nick* name as HQ told u ...and u will have no more problems
because when u load on 1 game r_picmip 9 .. it just adjust to that single game .. and doesnt save on your .cfg so do as i say or u will go to hell with playmates
/edit:
do not use r_picmip "16" or higher.. because its PB protected..and will kick u out of PB protected server
i dont know why need to clear that out
Use /seta command to make picmip change in cfg also.
Example:
/seta r_picmip 9

much more simple and more effective demoscript (simply better as the thing above, and easier for new ones)
Use following script, and remember to change the binds to your favors!
Default binds are F9 and F10[code:1]

Record a demo:
Simply press F9, a message will appear like this

to stop the demo, press F10, a message will appear like this
------------STOPed-RECORDING!!!Demos will be saved in:
C:/Path_to_your_Quake_III_Arena/excessiveplus/demos/
You can record as many demos as your space allows, everydemo will be named like this:demo0000.dm_68
mow..id actually add a g_synchronousclients 0 before the echo recording part..cos setting it to 0 doesnt affect recording once it starts and sometimes leaving it at 1 results in major stuttering...
works excellent for me
i had some problems on it when i tried cpma....it just went bonkers....turned synch back to 0 it works jsut fine
i wouldnt use more then 5 picmip
the walls bcome clearer yes but the light adn explosions to big = u see less

Forgot to ask i have a mx600 (logitech mouse) how can i change its precision (dpi is it? and polling rate) and when i use r_picmip 9 it goes back to 1 on new game WHYYYYY?????
