Tribes Ascend
This is a topic to do with Tribes Ascend, it looks to be the only fps game in modern times to be fast paced which makes it rare and special, i myself will be pre-ordering soon as i want to support the fps industry in this area in the hope fast pace fps will make a come back.
What do you guys think. Also this game kinda reminded my of e+. i dunno.
I checked it out and it looks good, it also reminds me of e+
Looks good, but ... There is no game that ll replace Q3 ever.

Looks more like "Halo" on steroids. Nothing new.
i play it and it doesnt look like halo, but on beta it isn't as fun as official. compared to blacklight retribution beta game its way better. And it is nothing like e+...weapons are not insta, actually hitboxes are so small and weapon damage isnt that huge, you need a lot of luck and skill to kill someone. You have only 2 classes in the beginning and you can unlock one class with 15000 points. Every game, if you play good you get about 30-50 points.
In conclusion it is really fun game, very fast but beta.
I've been playing the beta for a little while now, its been a lot of fun but a bit repetitive playing just the same 2 classes, which is making me lean towards purchasing the VIP starter package to easily start playing with the other classes. Regardless, its probably going to eat up a lot of my time in the next few years.
Speed <3
It's decent, especially compared to the slew of generic, "realistic", consolized shooters dotting the fps landscape in recent years. Pretty refreshing to play something that doesn't require you to spend 75% of your playtime being prone behind a bush. Nice throwback, but i think Tribes 2 was a much better game to be perfectly frank.
so who's playing it?
I heard about this game from my housemates, 2 of which had beta.
I thought this would be the saviour of Deathmatch gaming, especially in these stagnant times for QL. But after plapping, it seems more like Hipster TF2 ))) Also pay2level is a greedy, greedy business model. This one is on my "wait how it turns out" list.
Oh well, there's always Xonotic (and that FPS game CZM is working on, when not busy getting his Professiorate @ Harvard) c:
Your are right there.
In time like these when call of duty and battle field are being released its nice to know the faster side of the fps scene is not completely dead.
