anybody have some information on 'unlagged' and how it all works?i know a little, but was hoping for an in-depth post somewhere; i searched the forums and couldn't find anything - but that could be my retarded searching skills
any help would be appreciated, thanks

This link was posted by Beast a year back in a feedback thread of mine. Don't buy into the unlagged gospel uncritically though, I can't see a concievable reason for projectiles being unlagged in the latest release for example - and everything is most certainly not as smooth and fool proof as the link makes it out to be. Try other mods that don't employ unlagged technology for comparison.

What's “true ping?” (top) When the server has g_truePing set to 1 (the default), it uses a different method to calculate players' pings. The old method is more or less a hardware ping: how long it takes packets to make a round trip. This doesn't take into account built-in latencies or cl_timenudge at all. Your ping will probably show a little higher (like 8ms or so), but this way it's more useful. It gives you a better picture of the kind of lag you're dealing with.
