what windows ? win xp. win vista or win 7 ?

try right mouse klick set properties to win xp and run as administrator

Win XP. In my XP have only one user == Administrator. No other user .

I download quake with old PB. => can play, but PB "saY" : Update.

After Update => error.

download that --> put into youre PB folder --> then run the program --> select youre quake 3 game and folder ( only youre quake folder selected not quake 3\PB ) then update and HF on the arena

i have PBSetup v3.4

it's all in normal, folder in PBSetup: C:/Quake3

1 month ago, i play with PB on E+ 2.0a, but now, not on 2.0a, not on 2.1 can't...

try to reinstall whole PB with "pbsvc.exe"

i download pbsvc.exe, reinstall, his "say" test successful, BUT ERROR not gone...

i will use copy+paste skill, maybe this helps?

My game crashes with an error in pbcl.dll or a General Protection Fault.
Why?

This issue can be from a program that conflicts with PB. There are a few known
program that cause this:

  • Get Right
  • DU Super Controler
  • Macro Toolsworks
  • Girder 3.2
  • PRTG Traffic Grapher
  • CyberCorder: cybrcrdr.exe
  • Paessler Router Traffic Grapher: prtg4.exe
  • 3dnasys.exe
  • mIRCStats
Closing those programs, or any like them that contain user or kernel level debuggers should stop the problem.
