Hi comunity. I wanna make small upgrade from actual pc:
[code:1]
amd athlon XP 2500+@3300+
msi k7n2 Delta2 platinum
1GB DDR400 Kingston HyperX CL2
Gigabyte GF7600GS 256 AGP8x
[/code:1]

to something with Core 2 Duo.

My question is, if i can use C2D E6600 (1066MHz FSB) to my mobo Intel D945PVS Thinking: I tried to use google and i didnt find anybody who tried it or using it. Only someone tried it with c2d E7200 but its newer core with 45nm technology. But E6600 is supported by 945 chipset (but isnt written in support list of this mobo)

The Intel® Desktop Board D945PVS supports a single Intel processor in an LGA775 socket. See the table below for a complete list of supported processors.

Here is a list of all the cpu's it supports.

It seems to me that your MotherBoard doesnt support it. If you google your mother board "D945PVS" and look under its specs im almost positive it would say something like:

Processors Supported:
Intel Pentium 4 LGA775
Intel 05A
Intel 05B
Intel Pentium D
Intel Pentium EE
Intel Core 2 Duo, Intel Core 2 Extreme, Intel 06, Intel Core 2 Quad

The specs I found for your board say:

Processors Supported:
Intel Celeron D
Intel Pentium 4
Intel Pentium D

If I were you beazt, I would either call Intel and see what they say. Or I would take advantage of the 30 day money back, buy it, try it. If it doesnt work send it back and get your money back. Thats just me though.
