Urban Terror action

Hello WASP Mates,
As you know, WASP under the XSFG brand name has launched an Urban Terror (UrT) Clan. Just 2 weeks old, and with 7 members (5 from E+), we played in our 2nd weekly Wednesday night pickup matches.
No, we are not trying to lure ppl away from E+. Actually, we are trying to attract a few UrT players to our XSFG Clan and in the process introduce them and others to E+.
While many may not have Q3, they can download ioquake3 (ioq3) and then add the E+ mod. They would be able to play on regular E+ servers but not servers with PB or those like DeeX that invoke PB every x minutes.

i used to play urt in the 2.x days (before or around when i started e+) but lost my quake cd key...
it was good coming back in 4.x, i've been known to play a couple rounds very occasionally, some clans tried to tap me up, but being in e+ clans has been a lot for me as it is... so i'm just friends with some of the people who play there.
looks like you play the bog standard tdm on abbey/turnpike/prague/etc... when you play ctf or bomb, give me a pm. i might play a round or 2 of tdm too if you don't mind being spawn raped. also the netcode is great, unlagged works a treat, so even if i have 200ms ping, i can still play half decent.
rofl @ g36 comment... anyways...
by the way, i know a few guys from e+ who play urt... one of which admitted to me that he cheated playing there. *sigh*

he kept running down the same hall...so i basicaly just pwned him on his way out...he always kept trying to kill me...but never did...only person that killed me is phantom himself when he found out where i was pwning everyone

Well, as you should know, you do not need Q3 anymore to play Urban Terror 4.1.
The game installs as a stand-alone game (the way most ppl play it) or you can copy the mod directly from the Urban Terror folder (directory) and copy it to your Q3 folder (directory) just like you do with E+. This is how I play UrT - as a mod from within Q3.
I have to agree with you about the netcode. It is far SUPERIOR to Q3. You can play with high ping and really enjoy the game.
We do play CTF and C&H (Capture and Hold). We actually have 3 (FFA, CTF and C&H) servers of our own but we play on Public servers for the time as we are trying to recruit good UrT players.
