Hi guys,

I noticed that the userdb.dat reset on my server on 2 occasions now.
The file size was only about 5mb or so. Any ideas?

cheers

when you say reset, do you mean all the way back to begining or just skipping loads of info..?

sounds like someones deleting it - or uploading new one via ftp or whatnot and overwriting it.. not saying there isnt a bug but i been using the same db for a good few years and i never had any issues of this sort.
can you look at creation date etc of file?

yeah i got 644 also Worried
if its date created 14th then it has been overwritten and not just 'reset'
i use filezilla and this shows date modified in remote view maybe this is what you see?
can you access any kind of changes.log or access log?a for now solution would be to keep a backup every week or so and reload when problem occurs

really strange, sometimes the file resets to nothing , and other times the file size stays the same (e.g 800kb) but still it reset the data.

that is weird Thinking maybe something to do with your hosting and db files? maybe it truly is a bug, but as i say in the 3 years ive been running e+ servers i never had that issue once (that i noticed).
you want a copy of my db? maybe put that in and see what occurs..
