simply by putting "quake 3 movie maker" into google or browsing the forum of the most known gaming movie page own-age.com would have made him stumbling over all tools and techniques needed to do a proper work...
even if he didn't think of that, a mail to the creator of any previous E+ movie (or any Q3 movie at all) should have brought him on that way...

then he would have easily had access to some of the most powerful tools saving him time while bringing him MUCH better results, even with low editing skills.

It is not like doing watchable game movies (or better to say game movies at all) was a hard task now-a-days.
So don't get me wrong... I am not blaming his movie making skills... everyone starts one day and you ain't born knowing it. But reading and asking are skills everyone should own.
So I mainly feel sry for him about the time he wasted while he could have created something good

Anyways Cuben, I hope you won't give up movie-making... next time simply don't rush into it but inform yourself before... you will be amazed by your next result then

I was not even going as far to talk about editing at all (since there is none)... that is something where ofc everyone has different favors and each movie maker should develop his own style.
