Like Fire said,if new drivers started creating that problem and after putting back old drivers that worked its still not working,then u probably havent uninstalled the problematic drivers completely...after uninstall search for anything ati or catalyst (probably,i am on nvidia ) in c:\windows and in the registry and delete it.
