Wanna turn of q3 voice

How i can turn of this voice, i googled before, and used search button, both without success. Hope that doesnt mean that it is not possible.
Thx for advice.

(even with headset my gf can hear this voice and its annoying, closing doors is no real solution, even the living room is 2 rooms away, this voice is really breaking)

none, unless you use q3mme. 
except of course, creating your own pk3 files with empty sounds of the same filename. they wont work on pure, unless you of course put them on servers you play on

bad advice..?? I'm pretty sure that altering pk3 files is commonly refered to as cheating.

i dont see a problem, if u go to pure server, the pk3 is simply not loaded.

i dont see a problem, if u go to pure server, the pk3 is simply not loaded.
sorry not going to get into a debate about it.
back to the original question - now i heard before about turning the commentator off and im sure i knew how previously. but i cant find the damn thing either, i looked for the answer everywhere.. maybe it was in another mod.. 
- but i am sure it is possible..

anything is possible with editing of pak files but this is just totally stupid advice, seeing as you wont be able to play in the main servers, so why do people even suggest it? senseless...even though it is different to cheating, god has a point

@ tyr and goddam: if you make other pk3 files, not edit the original ones, then it doesnt cause problems. i would never suggest editing the original files, as you can also see in my original post

config wise its not doable in e+.
