the short ver is, due to the way its build they tend to disturb the original signal.

ever wondered why no better headphones have such a volume control at the cable eventhough it might be practical?

I had sennheiser hd202 and like ascari said before they are very uncomfortable... 1 hour on your head and your ears will hurt like hell ( sure if you got very small head and ears they will be fine for you^^).

Now i have KOSS UR-40 http://www.kggroup.pl/img/p/17-73-thickbox.jpg http://www.nordichardware.com/skrivelser_img/387/UR-40_4.JPG and they are soo nice. Made for portables mp3 so they are very light and comfortable...

and

+ they are very cheap and they have never-ending guarantee from producent

- could be short cable ( i plug headphones to keyboard so thats is + for me Happy )
