Well in my opinion, i dont think that any weapon is a spam one, i think as flex said, if u know how to use it and use a good mixing between weapons in each case, i mean not only 2 for exaple rail rock, etc.. u can get really good results.

Ok but, if we have to chose one weapon as the spam one, i think ALL except rail can be spam weapons if a noob is using it. the only one that one noob cant make spam is the rail, u have to know more to get frags with this weapon, not just shoot and shoot...

Hmm in whole i agree with Warner about the Rail.
But, the Gauntlet is the same in close combat, as the Rail is on distant combat...
In my opinion the whole Subject "spam (noob) weapon" is a farce.. The whole Excessive Mod is aiming on one fact: Kill your fu**** opponents as fast as you can!!!!!! I mean the fast weapon switch, the fire rate of the weapons, the power of the weapons....- Its excessive!

BTW: e5 is the spam CFG number 1
In that CFG you can spam with almost all weapons;
The Machinegun is fast as hell, the shotgun is fast and strong, the lightning gun (loooool).... I mean you can even use the rail for spammin (ok, its not that strong...).

So if you want to play a good game without spam (self-hurt on) play baseq3. I mean if you want to move that fast and shot that fast in baseq3 like in Excessive, then you have to be always a little more skilled than you are in Excessive.

lol'd imo all excessive weapons r noobt bcuz all have 1000000000000 damage and 10000000 radius and switch is fuckin whored but i voted 4 mg cause this weapon in e5 piss me off, in excessive+ i like only CTF cause moves rox u need big skill 2 do them swimmingly and its only one good difference when u compare it 2 classic q3 or cpm made in this mod, so if u dont want noob weapons go play baseq3 or cpma
