Ok-I know there have been some threads about "what you are listening to" and "what song describes you." What I would like now, is in the same vein. Please list your current favorite lyric (That's 4 lines max, peeps!)what arist.

Please do not make this into a spamming thread-any spam will be swiftly removed. I don't mind a comment withing another posting of a lyric. But no seperate posts like:

I like that song too!!!! Big grin
or
Would you like to Dance!!?!! Tongue

Please stick to the forum this time Big grin Thanks all. Enjoy.

I will start:
My current favorite lyric is a song called "You Suck" by The Murmurs;
"But right now there's dust on my guitar you F**K
And it's all your fault
You paralyze my mind and for that you suck."

hihi nice topic Happy
here is one of my favourits lyrics:
BTW I love voice of Sandra Nasic

Hide your face forever
dream and search forever

Open your eyes, open your mind
proud like a god don't pretend to be blind
trapped in yourself, break out instead
beat the machine that works in your head

hmm..

lyrics huh? not so clear for me because i like a lot of instrumental music..things like joe satriani (if you havent heard of him check him out cos hes f!@#ing awesome!) and classical stuff..also most of my favorite lyrics are in my mother tongue (a language called malayalam..interestingly the word malayalam is a palindrome in english Happy )...english is not a language that lends itself well to poetry..

but among english songs i like my favorite lyrics would have to be unforgiven II..

lay beside me, tell me what they've done
speak the words, i wanna hear, to make my demons run
the door is locked now but its open if youre true
if u can understand the me, then i can understand the you....

lay beside me, under wicked sky
black of day, dark of night we share these periled lives
the door cracks open, but theres no sun shining through
black heart scarring darker still, but theres no sun shining through
no theres no sun shining through..no theres no sun shining......

and so on..most people dont realize that metallica songs are really really sad because its metal music..and of course metal songs have to be diabolical by default..freaking stereotypes!

damien rice Big grin
The blowers daughter

And so it is
Just like you said it would be
Life goes easy on me
Most of the time
And so it is
The shorter story
No love, no glory
No hero in her sky

I can't take my eyes off of you
I can't take my eyes off you
I can't take my eyes off of you
I can't take my eyes off you
I can't take my eyes off you
I can't take my eyes...

And so it is
Just like you said it should be
We'll both forget the breeze
Most of the time
And so it is
The colder water
The blower's daughter
The pupil in denial

I can't take my eyes off of you
I can't take my eyes off you
I can't take my eyes off of you
I can't take my eyes off you
I can't take my eyes off you
I can't take my eyes...

Did I say that I loathe you?
Did I say that I want to
Leave it all behind?

I can't take my mind off of you
I can't take my mind off you
I can't take my mind off of you
I can't take my mind off you
I can't take my mind off you
I can't take my mind...
My mind...my mind...
'Til I find somebody new

sappy, i know. SHHHHH.

It's Ok Wonko. I figured people may post actually entire song lyrics, when it got a bit long to read from the beginning. No worries. Big grin

Right now I'm on a kick with a song by Tool.
Yes, I said Tool. Who says an Old gal has to act or feel old Big grin

I play it over and over and over and over....

Hee Hee.

A little OCD going on there.

This is my favorite part of the song.

I need to watch things die... from a good safe distance
Vicariously I live while the whole world dies
You all feel the same, so...

Why can't we just admit it?

Blood like rain come down
Drum on grave and ground

10000 Days : Vicarious.

I used to have super human powers, but my psychiatrist took them away.

If you like Tool, Dak--You should check out A Perfect Circle (It has members from Tool & Nine Inch Nails.) Mer De Noms ("Sea Of Names," in Latin) is excellent.

I'm a little strange.
I only like a few select songs from each artist.

Then I drive Steven crazy listening to the same song over and over
For weeks and sometimes months.

But I'll take a listen to the ones you've suggested. Big grin

Thank you. Happy

"Mer De Noms"--Is the name of the CD. I recommend from that disc: "Three Libras," "Judith," and "The Hollow."
