Sometimes when games using certain settings crash it leaves the desktop extremely bright and no real good way of fixing it apart from rebooting (as starting and exiting the game doesn't work either), running that program just *poff* fixes it

I have the exact same problem. When i hit ctrl+z with Qminimizer it's bright, when it crushes it's bright and when i click "quit" while the game is loading. Pretty annoying stuff 
The problem is fixed for me if i rerun the game though Oo

ok going offtopic, i have the opposite problem lol. When i minimise q3 and go back into it, the brightnest in game goes dark and i have to re-adjust it

But starting q3 up again after crashes solves the brightness problem but that gamma thing is easier...
Dunno what to do about the over dark q3 thingie though.
