Fair enough, there seems to have been a bit of communication breakdown
then since I took many complaints as being dismissed out of hand as
whine or placebo. In any case Russki summed up my POV (and yes we are thankful someone is bugfixing). We don't know what xyz values in cfg/mod we
want for it to feel good, we can only relate subjectively to what we
played earlier. Hence whine.

nonono, obviously people are having trouble reading. a lot of the complainers would rather have 1.03.
they do not understand to take a step forward, you may have to take a step back. Beast is very capable at what he does however, it is hard to fix something without breaking something sometimes. The many changes he has made are better than the many more bugs that were originally here. and my quote holds lots of water actually, as anyone who says it, is always trying to find someone or something to blame. It's not propganda, it's shut the hell up, report bugs and wait for them to be fixed. not bitch about how you want 1.03. It's simply conincidence that it was posted in this topic.

and top 10? how is top 10 significant? honestly i could care less who is in the top 10 and who plays what, i jump on ti have fun and everytime i jump on to play it's wah wah i missed a shot screw this new mod!!!!!!! i rarely see, thanks beat. if ever.

And here we disagree. The core gameplay (that is physics, sensitivity, projectiles) was better in 1.03

Nice generalization, unfortunately for your argument it isn't true.

5-6 months went between 2 posts about the same bug in my example, it got fixed just now. Make clear what you are criticzing, if your problem is with whiners on servers or nostalgia then say so.

It's significant because you argue we use 1.04 as an excuse for sucking at the game. There has not been any significant skill drop in the top 10, it's made up of the same people as before. You should also read up in the news threads of the releases and the thank you's Beast got.

So again, why can't you criticize 1.04?Have you bothered to go through the railrelated feedback reports? Should we refrain from criticzing at all, just out of some good will?

Re: Which do u prefer?

just an example about why the gameplay in 1.03 was better:

-u dont hti people who are in spec as happened to firefox.

that stuff was absolutely flawless, maybe not balanced as unlagged missilies, but these bugs did not exist.

so all we shall do is wait for next update? i just hope beast focuses on gameplay Happy

this is 2.0a, not 1.04. why are you talking about it?

Also, I am talking about bugs, not changes. You clearly have a different opinion however you are clueless on what is a bug and what is an intentional change. I also had the same argument with beast when he changed some of the gameplay , that is where me and you agreed believe it or not however you have to realize, complaining about it and asking him why he changed it are two different things. the latter being the better solution. You should realize though, things ALWAYS change, even in retail games. You spend more time complaining about them than trying to adjust (such as physics, etc). Which again, I had the same beef against those changes at first, but i was not trying to lose a nut complaining about it and went on with my life.

My argument is true in a lot of situations, thus why it's a generalization. I don't know you nor have i really ever seen you around in my time around here so clearly my statement can't be towards you.

This is where your reading comprehension has failed. I never specifically stood up and said "FUCK YOU MIRCWAR!!!!" Why is this such a personal attack to you? My problem is with the people who do not appreciate Beast's work and the people who can't wait for a bug to be fixed (even if it's 5-6 months) because he is working on other things, as well as real life. And is doing a fine job at it.

The top10 is a insignificant comparison. Again, read. I never said anyone lost skill, they merely adapted to the new changes. They are looking for something to blame. No they did not lose skill, they merely died and did not expect it because it is DIFFERENT. I am arguing that people blame the mod for missing a shot or dying. I am not arguing they got worse or better because of the mod (thus, the top10 argument was insignificant). Taking into consideration though that a large group of people are still holding onto 1.03, even if they have not played it in many months, they can't help but to blindly compare something they have not seen in months to 2.0a. They do not realize, things changed from 1.03 to 2.0a, yes. They do not realize they have ADAPTED and perhaps the way they ADAPTED was not good enough opposed to their gameplay in 1.03.

I never said don't critisize. Nor did i say don't report bugs. I am saying have some respect to the hand which feeds you instead of biting it. bug reports are very important, so it criticism. Without them the world would not be where it is today. Same with developing a mod. The steps we have taken to get to 2.0a from 1.03 are SIGNIFICANTLY great. Okay, you do not like the new physic changes, cool. Okay this bug was introduced, cool. Rome was not built in a day. To fix a bug you have implement a new bug, until there are no more bugs. And of course, only one bug can be worked on at a time. I see a lot of nasty complaining and bitching, directly to beast and on forums. No one on this forum could do any better. I am simply trying to state, convert that negative complaining energy into positive constructive energy and do things to HELP beast pinpoint the bug. Not make him feel like he should quit every day on something that he has worked on very hard for the past year or so.

And like I said, you took this as a personal attack towards you for some reason. That's cool, but as I said, I have never even met you before and we have both been here for quite a good bit of E+'s history. I am sure you would not be here right now if you did not have any interest in E+ steps forwards. Hopefully this post clears up a good bit of my initial tone.
