Which Spawnsystem is your default wish?
"xp_spawnsystem 0", which afaik is random respawns i.e. like 1.03.

number 2! its annoying when i get killed and spawn right around next corner from place of death. if enemy goes that way, its annoying

full HP, battle suit and 3 seconds is configurable from someplace else and has no logic to be related to the spawnSystem cvar.

Let me try to explain what it means "Try to avoid spawn points close to <X>":
The spawnsystem will take all the spawnpoints on the map and it will try to select 1 from the ones that are the most distant from the place <X>. This <X> place can be either:
- enemy players locations (option 1)
- place of death (option 2)
- both places: enemy players locations and place of death (option 3)
- all random - doesn't matter where you died or where the enemy is.. will pick one from all (option 0 )

With 0 sometimes you spawn close to enemies or from where you died, sometimes far, sometimes twice at the same spawnpoint. This is more like random and random is the best. With spawnsystem 0 We can't do anymore what we used to do on dm17 (3 is more like how it was).

forgive me but how then the description is like (1.03 style) if its default q3 behaviour then yes sometimes u spawn close to enemy who killed u, but the possibility to spawn on other end of the map is like 85% so its kind of easy to predict the spawn and the fact that the spawns have thier priority its real easy to control all of them, the major problem in that method is that if somebody aiming at the spawn the enemy will spawn on it anyway witch lead to completelly diferent gameplay especialy on tdm, if u wont going to prevent this to happen this will bring the spawncamping like in 1.03, watch for example ko2 movie there is a part that two players (me and drill) have killed one guy on spawn 5 times in a row without even giving him a chance to make one step forward and we standing on the opposite ends of the map
