basic typing is not about basic languange, its about typing down the letterin (wc-ship with much more than 1600 presses per minute).

463 = fastest possible (tryin to write correct as fast as i can)
397 = what i can truely without mistakes (with eye on writing corrcect)

Bah, ofcourse it has to do with the language. Spelling for example.

If you know directly how a word is spelled you can type it much faster than if you have to look at the individual letters. Normal people see words as an "image". If you see the "image" you know the word without reading it letter for letter which means, that if you can spell it, you dont have to look at the individual letters. If you DONT know how to spell it, you have to look at the letters and the order of them which means you have to spend time on that instead of on typing.

263 is what i type in swedish. But the language is older swedish and uses many words that are very seldom used in modern swedish so I think I could do maybe 300 with a normal swedish book instead of that old stuff.

Going to take a go at the one minute one, during two minutes I got way too annoyed with the nonsense sentences and THEIR spelling errors. I did better at English than Swedish though, heh. I'll do an update in this post, just got to pay those damn bills first before I forget...
