Hey all, I would like to get my Xbox on my pc monitor (so I can play on my room). I've have got a 22.5" 1920x1080 monitor. The Xbox has got a HDMI and a AV plugin and my monitor has DVI and VGA. I thought about buying a HDMI to DVI cable, but then I don't know how to get sound on my headphone. Any tips?

@darky, so I'll have to buy a HDMI to DVI cable for Video. And then that cable to plug my headset (mic and sound) in?

There is a lot of different cable extensions for headphones and mic :] so ye that cable will help you for headphones. There are also kits.

i dont really think this is what you are searching for divin...
i had exactly the same problem with my xbox, in the end i was lucky because my monitor had an audio-out. check, if yours has this too and just plug your headphones in there. if not i dont know...

edit: i dont really think this is what you are searching for, because that cable is just an extension cord, male/female. its like you had a longer headphonecable.
edit2: i also tried using some usb to audio adapter to plug in the headphones to one of the usb ports of the xbox; doesnt work Big grin
what i didnt try is some usb-speaker but i also doubt it

I'm quite sure about the HDMI to DVI cable. That will solve the video. But I'm still stuck on my stereo headset. My monitor doesn't have sound out. Sad And darky i checked the cable, I need something else. The xbox doens't have a jack out.

Thank you very much Apollo. I've ordered that cabel and a 3.5mm Jack female to female adapter for my stereo set. And a message to the people who think I've left q3 for BF3 or xbox: My pc is broken and it will take a looooong time to repair it, since we don't even know the problem yet. So I'll be playing Halo and stuff. Cya laterz
