xp_corpse reverts to old value
Hi, can't seem to figure this one out. As soon as I change this value and exit the game to menu, it reverts back to the old one i used (4, default is 3).
Things I've tried:
1. deleting cfg
2. autoexec cfg
3. write protect cfg
4. change the value in all cfgs for all other mods
No luck. Any ideas?
you checked folder where configurations is saved? somewhere in documments and settings. or only checked files in your game directory? i think that problem can be placed in configuration insice documments and settings directory.
do not remmember correctly where that place is, but its stored in one of those values:
\fs_basepath
\fs_homepath
Is it reverting when you quit to windows, or even when u back to game menu?
Long time ago I had almost the same problem, just with the different command I forgot.
Try to set xp_corpse 4 into the q3config.cfg and then stuck it with making it read-only into the properties.
(p.s. if you already have read-only mark, then it can be the cause of the problem as well)
Then, if I understood well, you are also using 2 configs (q3config.cfg and mircwar.cfg), so go to your mircwar.cfg and set xp_corpse 4 too.
Then, run quake via editing xp_singleplayer.bat with notepad like on the screen.
Not sure if it will work, but as I told in time I faced such problem this way was helpfull.
p.s Im using xp_corpse 4, and it works fine, however in the console it says default value is 3.

try to search near to location where quake live is writing his configuration. its like:
C:\documents and settings\USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\id Software\quakelive\home\baseq3
http://www.holysh1t.net/quake-live-config-located-windows/
works similar with quake 3, but i cannot find direct sites. also i do not have windows installed so cannot forward you directly ;-P
value must be somewheres stored if it changed automaticly ;P

Game menu, but I checked just now and the new value stayed until i exited the game.
I found one way to make it worth, I wrote to cfg in-game and manually loaded that config to make the new value stick. But it only works when manually loading the cfg each time i play, autoexec or writing to q3config doesn't work.
Thanks for your answers.
