Your first graphic card
My first1 was Ati Rage IIC. I dont remember if i had 2MB or 4MB version. But i think i had just 2MB version. This was my first and the last ATI card. After this bad experience i was fan of 3Dfx
After this card which was in 1998 useless for playing games like Need For Speed 3 or Unreal i had to upgrade to STB Velocity 100 with 8MB video memory. STB Velocity 100 was Voodoo 3 2000 for poor people (it has turned off some texturing units etc)
After this i think i had Inno3D GeForce 2 Titanium with 32MB DDR 128-bit memory More info here: http://vgamuseum.ru/gpu/nvidia/nvidia-geforce-2-tivx-inno3d/
After GeForce 2 i upgraded to GeForce 4 Ti4200, then i bought GeForce 6800, 7600, 8600GT, 9800GT and now i have that GeForce GTX460 and iam going to change it for 660.
i had 8 mb version of first one on my old pc, and it still works
all I played was doom (classics) and quake 1,
need to go to basement and check second or third one was geForce 2 mx 440
My first graphic card was GeForce 2 TI 256mb. Before I've had my own computer we've been playing on friends computer and sometime it's been a 10-people-party on PC. After my parents bought me a computer I've had the best PC in the whole town so I've had loads of friends hehe. Good old times Lots of memories just came back, thanks for this thread man
1998.. my 1st love
3DFX Voodoo Banshee - Creative 3D Blaster Banshee CT6750 16MB AGP

First love xD - nvidia sparkle 6200 128 mb pci-e
Oh memories, gamed q3 on it so mad, that when i quit the game, all pc was lagging like hell, had to wait 5 mins to browse pc smoothly again
My first card was S3 Virge DX 4MB,one of the famous "3D Decelerators" which actually made 3D slower than plain software rendering.
I was'nt satisfied so in 1998 I've bought 3dfx VooDoo2 12MB - that was revelation !
3dfx Glide was amazing and games were so fast !
I still have my VooDoo2,and got second one - both working in SLI mode in my old computer.
VooDoo2 SLI gives res.1024x768, single accelerator only 800x600.
One of the best things in old cards was silence - no fan for cooling.
Look at this sandwich - it's Quantum3D Merkury (Heavy Metal) 8 x VooDoo2 + 96MB.
Monster speed was impressive - 19,2 GB/sec and 800 Mpixels/sec !
Was very expensive so I could only dream about it...
I bought my first (better) personal computer in year 1999 and it had a video card from nVidia GeForce FX with 128MB memory. I payed for the PC around 2800 DMark.
what to say, you embraced computers too late, My first is inside of this:
riva tnt2 32MB m64, not enough for gta 3 ;]
