So Mow, how does ME2 compare to ME1? I'm about halfway through the first one. Good game, but holy fucking shit, driving around in that Mako thing and looking for hidden stuff is one of the most menial and annoying things i've ever experienced in an crpg (i'm a completionist, can't help but try my best to 100% every game i play, so i never skip side quests). I hope that part is gone from the second game (heard it was).

well, the mako thing will be replaced with searching minerals on planets. both are annoying, but for me each the only annoying things.

well, me2 is even more an "action" rpg than me1. the rpg content in smaller in me2, there for more action. I hope me3 will be a mix of me1 and 2 without a mako or searching minerals Happy many decisions of u in part 1 will affect part 2, including consequences staying spectre or not etc. u will soon hate the council Winking but i don't want to post any spoilers... well, some comparing reports to find with google will be better to read as if i would write something bigger about it.

Because ur decissions affects the game i played meanwile with at least 6 chars, paragon, renagade, rescue the council, not rescue the council etc... (lil spoiler, sorry), about searching minerals, the first time i finished me2 without cheat i changed a file so i had enough minerals so i had not to scan planets anymore.

As long as the plot stays strong (maybe not "strong", it is kind of generic, but it's extremely well written and presented, and keeps you interested, which is a whole lot more than i can say about other modern rpg games), i don't mind the change of pace. Not like ME1 is a clear-cut rpg either, it's much more action centric than most classic rpg games i can think of.

I don't even treat it like an rpg, to be honest, more like an interactive novel. That's seems to be the proper approach towards Bioware games in general; the gameplay might be lacking, but the writing always makes up for it. Perfect example of that is Jade Empire (i recommend it if you didn't play it, btw) - superior storytelling wrapped around shoddy and lackluster mechanics. Not saying ME1 has shitty mechanics as such, but their premise is not what i usually look for in my rpg games.

Anyway, thanks for the low-down. I'd look around review sites, but i don't trust those places. Too much hype and propaganda. You spend 15 minutes in one of them, and suddenly every new game is the best game ever. Straight face Fuck that.

That is the best english fan-page i know: http://masseffectinfo.com

I usually check just german pages, like masseffect-game.de, so i can't say if this english site is the most unbiased fanside (paradox writing "unbiased fansite" Laughing

The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is The Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

I've forgotten even quake 3 for months when I found my last game. Hunted: The demon's forge. Great that have been free from work and had a lot of free time. My friend asked me if i want to play this game, but after watching trailer I wasnt impressed of this. I don't like elfs, magic and so on. But decided to try anyway. When we started to play this I was wondered, because I didnt expected my interest to this. Exciting plot, when you feel deeply the taste of this game, you want to play it without stopping. This game reminded me Resident Evil 5, but much more interesting. This is my last mind blowing game. I search someone who would like to play this game with me, because I want to pass it again)))))))

Doom
and anything related

The bullet hole looks so right in your head,
like it'd been missing all along.
The blood streaked across your face
like some twisted lover's deformed lipstick trace.
Staring at your reflection
wondering how you're still alive.
Wondering if she's somewhere laughing,
deciding whether to let you die.
