Missing maps

As of the moment, there are some maps missing a download link in the server spider.
This makes it harder to spread good/popular maps to new players, as the default ingame download method is pretty limited.

So if you have any of the listed maps, please upload it to our map archive.

ftp://ftp.excessiveplus.net/maps/_incoming/

Uploading will require an FTP client like FileZilla but also Windows Explorer allows FTP connections.

First steps

Well, the site finally seems to work.

Currently clan registration is disabled. If your clan had an forum on the old site, please contact a clandb moderator to get it assigned back to you and your clan. This will make the forum visible again and the private forum accessible for your clan mates.

Let's see how it works out, the work has just began..

I will try to fill this blog with new additions made to this place.

Moving on

We will finally try to move to our new system and hopefully everything will work as expected, this time *crosses the fingers*

For that we will need to close down the forum at Friday, 19.02.2010.

The forums will be probably down the whole weekend, maybe even a bit longer. After everthing is setup and working, we will have a small test with the staff/moderators to see if really everything was setup correctly and then, finally, you will be able to login again and hopefully have some fun.

During this period, we will enable the old shoutbox to allow some communication.

Time to say good bye

No, don't worry. It's just time to say good bye to this - almost 10 years - old dinosaur called website.

We will soon replace it with a new, more community friendly website and also will try to enhance it regularly to fit your needs.

I hope we can make this a place worth to spend some time on, instead of just reading the forums and go away.

Well, now to the bad news. The new site should have been already live by now but some serious problems appeared, which were not clear in the pre-tests.

Please have a little more patience. You can use the old spider in the meantime.

The version increase, aside from serving as a marketing strategy, is because the pk3 files have been reorganized, so previous pk3 files are no longer needed. Also because a version for OpenArena is being released as well.
