Well, i used 2 years kaspersky internet security and had always little problems, with browseperformance, and many tasks were slower as usual, i just thought, it must be like that if i want to be save.

well, when the license was over, i wasnt able to get quickly a new license, and i installed avira free antivirus and zonealarm.

what can i say, i have now a much quicker performance, and believe it or not, when i installed avira, it found 23 dirty files, not found by kaspersky. I made a format c: quickly, and since there i never had problems, running now since 1 year.

both, zonealarm (i dunno if it is really necassary, since i heard new firefall from windows should be way better than the old one, i just feel more save with zonealarm) and antivir, dont use much ressources, performance stays good. and for my browser i also use additionally "noscript"-plugin.

Hi Rage. I have the same trouble like you. Only good way is format all disc. And You don't need any Antyvirus or firewall. Trust me. I use only SpyBot Search& destroy.

Just don't install eny taskbar, tools or bonus from any SETUP. And ofcourse never klik on CRAC from game's if you not shure it's good:) And Don't install not orgainal programs (BearShare, Emule, Torrent,s. This is bigest base of virus and spyweare). I have now orginal Windows and if I need some extra program I instal just Trial but from producer site.

I have bad experience with PINFI virus. This mother fucker infected my all exe. files and only format for all disc and deletet for ever my all exe. files kill this fucker:P I get this shit from CRACK to assassins creed

mow, i didnt see virus years and years. Iam mainly visiting still the same sites. I used NOD32 in past. But antivirus programs makes PC slower... Now i will be one year without antivirus and everything is still ok... If you know what youre doing, you dont need anything. Iam using only firewall. Its make my PC slower too, but i see that its doing something. Its the difference between antivirus and firewall Antivirus only downloads actualizations
