Ok, so opened windows explorer.
Opened “Quake III Arena” folder
Opened “excessiveplus” folder
In the “excessiveplus” folder are the following folders:
“Arenas”
“Conf”
“Docs”
“Screenshots”
“Tools”
No “demos” folder.
I created a new folder called “demos”, placed it in the “excessiveplus” folder
I added two demos I downloaded (.rar files) into the newly created “demos” folder.
Opened the game and clicked on demos. The two I put in don’t show up. One I did not put in, did show up named; “Four.DM_68” Clicked on it but it wouldn’t play
I know I’m not doing something right.
Apologies for this being off topic.
u gotta unzip them... to be in format dm_68 and put there in demos folder
what program do I use to unzip them with?
Update: I removed that demo folder I created and I was then able to view the "Four.DM_68" demo.
So I figured I'd do a Windows search for Four.DM_68 to see where it was located (so I'd know where to put the downloaded demos), but Windows search couldn't find it, only a reference to it in a readme file.
I aslo want to add that my online game character's name is
