Custom resolution causing lagg?
btw lotus, u got really a strange cfg, there are many commands that i never seen in cfgs, many \r_ or \df_ \mme and other stuff that i never seen, many of them contemplate even graphic and use of mb, could look like a bullhist but, did u ever tryied to use another cfg? i think after u putted 800x600 u made vid_restart then it used other commands from baseq3 cfg on video so not those strange commands anymore, that could be the reason why it gone good with 800x600...did u try even to pass to 1366x768 again using vid_restart?
then maybe you can explain why i have/had/still a bit have the same problem with a GTS250 ? + 8GB ram on a core i3 550
mb u share 25% of your pc? mine is way lower 2Gb ram, 512 Mb vid(integrated), processor...AMD Sempron 1.6Ghz and magicaly i have 125 fps with drops ofc, but the game is more smoother, and this happened when i got Weed's cfg idk what happened, what comands he had in the cfg but now im +1% better, even on blue cathedral i play better and i have 125-100 fps in some places of the map sometimes 100-65 fps but its way more better than max 65 and on the map 15-20
lol pinky...why 512 u gave to video? it's useless, it won't use 512 coz it's system ram memory shared, band of memory bus is too small for permit a data flow that could use all 512 mb, with 128 will be already enough, max 256 but i dupt it would be managed, u can save some memory for use it as system ram that is more important and would be more used from the system, and especially if u got win vista/7, system ram is never enough, better save it for that.

Its called ioquake3 , a buit version of q3 arena , a way better improved .
game automatically made screenshot(tga) at the end of match and I noticed that it always slows down the game for ~10 seconds, sometimes game even crashes. Unfortunately, it can't be fixed because renderer is located in quake3.exe
I think it slowed down because too many saved shots in the screenshots folder.

ioquake....now explained everything....i hate it, anytime i use it i regreat n go back using q3 again, gives me lot of lag and drops fps as hell, it got very nice upgrades, especially the quality of sound finally using openal, but sux as hell, dunno maybe i didn't setted right the cfg or idk but sux as hell, about screenshots i agree about xp_onexit, or he just can set it on jpeg so even with xp_onexit "screenshotjpeg" it won't drop fps as tga...
pinky, cool version of xp, but 512 mb useless the same
the fps drop/q3 crash is based upon quake counting which number the screenshot needs to have.
so as more screenshots, as more lag.
Alternative remedy is to delete or move screenshots on a regular basis.It's easy enough to just bind a key (I use F12) bind f12 "xp_onexit screenshot.jpeg"
I also see a lot of people opening up console and typing in manualy, this bind also helps give a full screen view of game and saves time.
