if U play vs ppl who U know and trust than pb imho can be off. f.e. I don't need pb vs MR cause I am sure in all members of this clan (only Kaktus and Zont can cheat here but pb won't detect if they drank . but also there are clans with ppl who have "strange" shots and game-styles and I won't agree to play vs them with pb off (may be it's really a bit useless now but anyway I feel myself more quiet).

in older quake releases without pb, everyone records his pov, if someone has no demo then the team loosed the game, if someone cheated team is disqualified

PB not only have problems with win7 I still can’t use windowed mode In Vista because the game kick’s me all the time, and sometimes randomly when I try to run the game under Vista, so I’m forced to use xp for some games. Also these *folks* don’t want to cooperate with ioquake3, grrrr… and we’are outdated

and exactly here is the problem, read narcyz signature and u will realise it.
if we turn off pb, we allow any cheat that isnt obvious.
and there are tons of these!

for people trying to see somebody cheat its like in physics, there is a horizon of what u can see and what not, no matter if its demoed or not, its possible to cheat without being recognised gaining u a few frags making ur team win.
