Forum rulez o.O
Ok, i just noticed that they've been made official. Cool, some ground rules are always handy and helpful. Just one thing - some of them are, well, weird!
A small disclaimer before i proceed - i'm not trying to undermine the authority of current mod/admin staff, just wanna discuss teh rules over. I also seem to recall a thread created by Term about these exact rules. It's late and i don't wanna go around digging thru the forums, so please excuse me by not posting there, but here. Ok, let's roll.
• While debating and discussion is fine, we will not tolerate rudeness, insulting posts, personal attacks or purposeless inflammatory posts. Our decision is final in these matters.
Fine with me.
• Please refrain from posting meaningless threads, one word (or short) non-sense posts, or the such.
Half of these forums consists of such posts, heh. But i actually am not against that rule.
• Multiple or repeated posting in order to increase your post count is not allowed.
Yup.
• Advertising, spamming and trolling is not allowed. This includes using the forum email and Private message system to spam other members.
Please define advertising. Spamming and trolling is always bad, but i don't see either spammers or trolls being put under the hammer.
• We also do not allow posts that are sexual in nature or violate community standards. The E+ team shall be the sole arbitrator of what does and what does not violate community standards.
First "ZONK", by big "Z". First of all, "sexual" should be replaced by "pornographic". Second, shouldn't the COMMUNITY define what is appropriate and what is not?
• Each member is allowed one login account. Registering with multiple accounts is not allowed.
Chillin.
• We reserve the right to remove offensive posts without notice.
Well, a formal warning beforehand is always nice, but i've no prob here, really.
• If you are going to post non-English on these forums, please also post an English Translation of your post.
Just lol. Not all people of E+ speak english ffs. Some speak it so bad they prefer to stick to their native language. And some topics are meant to be run while speaking one language only. Wtf?!
• Also while these rules cover most common situations, they cannot anticipate everything. Consequently we reserve the right to take any actions we deem appropriate to ensure these forums are not disrupted or abused in any way.
As long as these are chilled and thinked over decisions, no prob.
• You cannot post any affiliate or referral links, or post anything asking for a referral. Such posts will be subject to removal.
Please expand on this, it's very vague.
• We also reserve the right to ban anyone who willfully violates the forum rules, as access to our support forums are a privilege and not a right. A banned customer is still entitled to support from the support system.
Cool, but first the rules need to be set straight
Avatars:Avatars that may be confused with official staff avatars are not allowed.
Lol? Since when staff here has one type of official avatars ;p Well, i gather it means roughly that if i wear an avatar that says "I'm E+ team, woot" i'll be in trouble. Cool, no prob here.
Signature Size Limits:All signatures should not exceed the following size limits :
• For images in signatures: 1 image up to 500 pixels wide, 150 pixels tall.
Controversial. Why only 1 image? I understand size limits... huh.
Imo these rules aren't very functional, not all of them anyway. I'd like to see what other people are thinking about this.
i demand that mad be banned from the community for intentionally violating the rules by opening this spamming topic.... :salute: :salute: ](*,) ](*,)
edit: o i just checked out your profile...9+ posts on average a day...damn mad u definitely need to be kicked out of the community! lolololololol
god how dead would we be without mad!!!
Ahem:
• Please refrain from posting meaningless threads, one word (or short) non-sense posts, or the such.
We need really agressive moderators for that.
• Multiple or repeated posting in order to increase your post count is not allowed.
Harh harh.. Foksie had a few good ideas such as not couting posts on some forums (eg. Clan Rank).
• We also do not allow posts that are sexual in nature or violate community standards. The E+ team shall be the sole arbitrator of what does and what does not violate community standards.
+1 to Madb.
• We reserve the right to remove offensive posts without notice.
+1 to Madb.
• If you are going to post non-English on these forums, please also post an English Translation of your post.
Madbringer strikes again! Imo topics like "National Team" should be written in the language of the country.
Avatars:Avatars that may be confused with official staff avatars are not allowed.
This is a bit lol, but I suppose that it's to prevent impersonation (?).
Signature Size Limits:All signatures should not exceed the following size limits :

I recall Foks0r's post where he stated that many people have important stuff in their siggs (clan rank links, world cup etc.). Just make a a slightly bigger limit for siggies, and people can decide them selves what they want in there (eg. pic + quote, link + pic + link etc.)
Forum section: "Non-English" perhaps?
Even close to suggesting the feared "Unmod" section but that usually turns out a lot worse than it should though...
@ Mad, +1, some of these are more "guidelines" than rules, they warn us to not do things in general and tell us how to behave properly...
then i remembered this:
There's also another rule: There is now a smaller limit for maximum characters in a post - That has been made last friday/(thrusday?)
I dont know why, the only person (apart from Rena with the newspapers, but Rena doesnt do newspapers anymore) who makes really long post is me, when I publish the interviews... it's only me...
Show me another post of that length made in the last 4 months and I show you a green dog (vice city radio quote, if anyone remembers )
Who could do it? Infected? He stopped wotev@ he was doing and quit q3...
Flame posts? they never reach that kind of length, with 1 ancient exception (Mr Vs Gen-X when they started)... Who else? spammers? why would you spam for 11 word pages???
I now I promised interviews to quite a few people (including mod team members), but the 2 last interviews (published on last thrusday) Weebl and PHC'DOC interviews were done a week before (doc - satrted& edited 8 days before publishing, needed more questions to finsih off), and Weeb'l interview was done 5 days before, (Weebl didnt have a more convenient time and it was unedited)...The reason I cant do every1's interview is because they take 2-5 hours to do & edit...
Now there's a starnge link (talk 2 a few people about an interview a week before -> interviews published on thursday -> next day there's a max post limit
I would love to do an interview with every1, but as i mentioned above, they take a really long time, and I still like to engoy Uni life, being in my 1st year (watch footbal in the bar, go for a few drinks, go clubbing, get absolutely smashed, i'm only human... and i need to show up @ lectures from time to time ), so it's really difficult to dedicate my time to it 100%... so I apologise for taking my time to approach people who i already discussed taking an interview with
Now here's an interesting fact -> last Thursady, I missed 2hours (:! of football practice so I could finish & edit the doc & the weebl interviews...
To do the Torzelan interview, i satyed @ a computer and didnt go get fucked up even though it was a friday (yes, I STAYED IN ON A FRIDAY NIGHT to do an inteview (even though i could, should and was invited to come out )... Then I thought to myself:
Why should I contribute my own free time that i could use in other, in equally or more, enjoyable ways? I think I better put backon the whole interview thing, at least until or website is finished (coming soon )...
I had respected people tell me "Attach it as a word file" or "Break it up in 2 posts", (will do so with the Tor interview, when I get back to Uni) but this aint about the fact that I CAN post it, it's about that there's now a limit for posts of such length, despite the fact that I am the only 1 to make them, and have been for a long time...
Oh and Im sorry that once I had to say "I cant do an interview " cos i just spent a long time doing an interview just before that moment (i was just asking if you were ok if you wanted to be interviewed), and I never had a chance to offer an interview again cos I never saw the person online on MSN (and when I did, i was logged on to MSN on my mobile cos I wouldnt be able to save it (and it takes longer to type for me)...
Aaaand thats about it...
Oh and short version of this post:
I aint doing interviews for a while
---PEACE---

Zzzzzz... huh, wha? Someone's reading? Oh, wait, I see... damn DRT mind-tricks... had to re-read...
Well, a formal warning beforehand is always nice, but i've no prob here, really.
TOTALLY AGREE. Wtf i think i lost from when i am here almost 50-100 posts ( dont count them, even today when i logged i was with 2 posts less and i dont even know which one of them ... )
when u ban/kick some1 u told him the reason ... or in some others issues. Why not here too ? kick from a game = deleting post from a forum (not the best comparation but almost the same thing) ...
Im not refering to a sub forum of a clan but should not be some rules for mod of subforums too ? i get it they have the right to edit, delete the posts but a reason when u got the post delete will be good too .
A nice PM just with 2-3 words : deleted message ( copy paste ) from Z forum because of advertising or smth like that
maybe somone could disable post count? would be really helpfull and it could solve at least some part of crapy, worthless posts problem?

This means you actually do:
even today when i logged i was with 2 posts less and i dont even know which one of them ... )
maybe somone could disable post count? would be really helpfull and it could solve at least some part of crapy, worthless posts?
It's a bit radical, but why the hell not?
Oh COME ON, you can do better than that ;p
