I don't see how postcount should even matter. From time to time I'm prone to the occasional short but to-the-point "Good game [insert clan names here]!" and a polite request for demos if available. Or remarks about one or another player's score/stats... but only when the games are of personal interest to me (e.g., I know a lot of the players, or it's a highly anticipated game -- read: DS vs SWE? hello, INSPIRING outcome there, folks).

Anyway, I'm straying from the topic a bit. I think people being worried about post count is crap. Look at Zenus and Vobb's postcount vs. join date (both joined April of '04). Look at Tass, Zyzio, Cash. Right. All under 100 posts even though they've been forum members for over a year. Or two years. Or THREE.

Play against these guys once. Once is all it'll take. When you're out of shock long enough to recover basic motor skills and then remove your jaw from the floor because of how bad you got your a$$ PWND, consider postcount and how important it really is.

Expending the effort to remove postcount from the forums would be about as big of a waste of time as spending hours of time on the forums INCREASING your postcount when you could, in fact, be playing.

Which is what I'm going to go do now before I'm too tired to keep my eyes open.

I think u dont get it. Ye - post count does not mark how respected in the comunity u are - its obvious for most of ppl. But for some this small number IS like a competition - they will spam, post irrevelent messages just to increase it. Result: forum is slowly changing into garbage. And ffs what for u need the number of posted messages under ur screenname? Maybe couse u r getting excited about over 1.000 number? So pls ... that would be a hipocrysy, and disabling postcount takes moreless like 3 mins to do.

In fact, I would love that, because of all the people saying stuff like "#1 Spammer :D" , and "hope you beat Mad @ the postcount 1 day" assuming that if i do post a lot that i give a fuck about all that "+1" stuff jus cos I whore myself out to the community...

I do think that removing the post count will stop giving people that general "+1!" impression of me...

It just shows that ones with the greatest postcount don't give a sh*t about it. The people who try to catch up to them do, on the other hand.
