Gaming Laptop: What to choose?
Hi guys again, sorry for many topics if that offends someone. I want to get a gaming laptop as this summer I might move to South Korea with my wonderful and loving Korean girlfriend and I was thinking of getting a laptop that can cope with everything I throw at it. My looks stopped at the Toshiba Qosmio Series and the Alienware machines which have incredible specs. I don't plan on buying one now, but in 3 months I might get one. Please tell me, for a budget of maximum $2.000, what gaming laptop do YOU recommend?
Hey man. It's a bit too early for you to definitely determine which laptop you should buy. In every month is coming something new and some olders laptop have a discount, something new is coming up and etc. etc., but ofc. you can plan something and be actual with news in notebooks world. I have notebook Asus K52J; I bought it 8 months ago for about $1000, and now people selling it for about $700. For this $1000 now I could buy much powerful machine. If you want notebook in summer start looking for it in next two months, not now. I am sure there's will be something newer and more powerful in $2000, don't waste your time now because all will be changed
Anyway, I'm not expert of hardware stuffs but something I know I think this Toshiba is good laptop but not good enough like on this prize. Try to look on some ASUS, watch out for ACER's, I had 2 years Acer notebook and it was totally fucked up. I said to myself "no more acer's, NEVER!" I had amazing problems with it. Two of my friends who had Acer got these problems too. Now I am playing on Asus and all is great.
Try to look for something better like on this prize.
Good luck with girlfriend mate
u will move definetely in Korea?
Your welcome my friend.
Hope to catch you soon on MSN, I missed ya.
Greetings.
What was wrong with those Acers ?
i have acer and its cheap and powerfull rly
I had acer and first problems was after year, it was working very slow. I sended it to service and they founded problem in radiator. After some time they send me back notebook with new radiator, but not for long. After next few weeks again started to slow working, this time problem was in HDD, they fixed and working good. After next two months RAM changed from 2gb to 1gb, I lost 1gb, "burned". They didn't want to fix it cause they said it's mine fault <bullshit>, I bought new RAM and after next weeks again radiator got damned. Magical notebook. Now my sister have it and she's still complaining about slow working. But service guaranty has expired. Since two years I had many formats, many shit-happens with this. I will never buy again acer. Now I have ASUS and I am happy with it. All is great.
Cheap and powerful. Yes, that's the Acer philosophy, but not the quality
