I would never use a laptop for gaming.
Laptops cost more are limited to things u can do with them an come with crappier specs to Desktop PCS.
Buy a cheap laptop the now if ur on the move. Then buy a decent rig when ur settled down. I herd AMD are bringing out a new chip, it might be wise to wait for that )

Thanks, I will be checking the latest models from Alienware and Toshiba Qosmio in a few months, but maybe you have knowledge of other nice gaming laptops. My max budget is $2,000.

Re: Gaming Laptop: What to choose?

for 2000 i honestly would buy a cheap laptop, because any cheap laptop can run q3 on 125 fps nowadays, while you can get a pc as fast as a highend laptop for half the price. (as long as you crack the software)

laptops only advantage is its compactness and mobility, thats it. You don't need mobility for gaming imo since its best to have a desktop you don't change.

and you are especially fucked if your accumulator burns down.
