i seem to be having probs with th update lol it dont work for me .. ?? were do i put the ex+file ????

How do I install Excessive Plus?

You should extract the xp-***.zip in your Quake 3 directory like this
[code:1]C:\Games\Quake III Arena\excessiveplus\
C:\Games\Quake III Arena\excessiveplus\conf\
C:\Games\Quake III Arena\excessiveplus\docs\
...[/code:1]

Then you can start it with
C:\Games\Quake III Arena\xp_***.bat
or thru the Quake 3 MOD menu.
