How-To install quake3-excessiveplus under linux
This is my guide in OpenOffice format.
I hope that a lot of quakers try to use linux.
edit: you must login for download.
Nice!!!
Does it also explain why (only) excessive plus crashes when I wait for the map change after I updated my unstable Debian yesterday?
I'm serious. I have all kinds of mods. But only excessive plus manages to crash when there is a map change.
(You don't need to tell me not to use unstable since I can't)
I would really, REALLY appreciate any suggestion... since I love x+....
I found out what caused the problem. It crashes right in the moment it tries to write the screenshot.
That worked perfectly before. But since the unstable update I have to disable it now to prevent the client from crashing.
I wonder what could have changed during that update that could break the screenshot functionality?
Any ideas?
Any ideas?
nope....
My q3 under linux only play id logo animation and after that i hear iam in main menu but my screen is black.
have a look at your /etc/X11/xorg.conf how many bpp you have enabled per default.
