yes because your not sending enough info to the server, try 20, but most use 40 which is pretty good, but anything lower than 20 usually results in jerky play, very much like small lags

snaps are set on 20 as default, meybe u used internet settings from q3 menu

mm maybe i set it up there your right, prob when i first had my pcwith quake, i didnt know how to even switch weapons back then bless
