I just got a bit mad coz u made it (to me) sound like 'your shit sux, this is how u R gonna change things'. I am not the creator of this league and could leave it be, but i have accepted to offer my aid if necessary. And if i think it is, i will. My mind just screamed 'who the F**K does he think he is!' I dont mind criticism IF it is constructive, and looking beyond the 'crap and stupid'... And now this second explanation. Sorry if i blew you off in any way. I know you are a good guy and hopefully meen well by posting this, but this -crap and stupid- was made in public so i think the response should also be made in public.
And, well... You did not do a single practise round in front of the league and you knew you were up against sNr in your first game? Dude... Could it be that THEY did, and thats why you lost so fast? There are not many games in this league, if any at all, that the outcome is sertain! This is just my speculations though.

Im confidant in that this league atleast gives a lesson in what to avoid when doing things like this, so surely you have a good chance to do this better!
And yes, when stuff dont work, something needs to be done. But at this point only 'minor startup gliches' have occured and they are surely being worked at (right Sub7?). The load of unhappy players i know nothing about. Ive so far heard a few more positive than negative responses to this. Plz, if anyone think things are good enough, let 'us' know that too. Mabe is just posts here that counts as an opinion? If silence is acceptance positive side is way ahead the negative. So wich u think should be concidered. The few? Not gonna happen!

I think this not getting PB to work properly on some servers, made Sub7 especially eager to require an admin present at every game. If not, i belive someone would have made a remark of that too.
Hopefully the servers that couldnt get PB to work, will have that problem solved as soon as possible. PB, imo, sure aint flawless but The Rules require PB. The versionnumber should though be replace with 'latest available'.
To, by just speccing, tell if someone is mabe using stuff that could be by the majority concidered not allowed is hard, but the obvious ones would atleast be spotted.
Pure could also increase security (or whatever u like to call it). On my server (2) me and Bazze will spec one team each, if possible. BigBrother is watching you
And yes, good idea to make this 'admin present' thing optional.
Sub7, if you had a minute to spare be4, now u can forget it. Brainstorm on this instead.
But, if no admin or objective third party spectator is present, ANY complaints about the other team have to be disregarded unless a minimum 3/4 of the players agree to the complaint. You also could record your game, but lots of you know what happens when recording your own game... Opponents wont need no aid to win.
Some things worked different when applied to actual battle. Those needs to be solved, agree on that. Suggestions always are appreciated! Meanwhile this 'sux'-rules have to due.

I was not informed about this reschedule thing, not a good excuse, but i didnt know. I didnt understand that by just reading your post either. I figure last minute not optional reschedule would make anyone a bit angry, like if you fx have had an option of doing something else that time that could mabe end up in a close IRL 1on1 instead and cancelled that coz you had a game to play... No names *cough* Pan *cough*... Now that would suck really hard! (now the unnamedplayer *chough* Pan *chough* played their game and i'm convinced he *chough* Pan *chough* is a very smart/smooth guy and just moved those plans 4 tonight instead. I'm also sure the unnamedplayer *chough* Pan *chough* is gonna win that one too. Anyways, imo, friday night is better (all night is good) 4 a 1on1 in that mod. IF u dont want your contestant to leave the arena as soon as possible after the match and needed a worthy "have to get up for work early tomorrow" excuse, that is).
Sorry for drifting off the subject. And unnamedplayer *cough* Pan *chough*, i hope i didnt get to personal and steped on a sour toe, coz u are one of the main reasons for me joining gen.X. in the first place
You did a big sacrifice to show up to the game. Im not sure i would.

You are not requested to plan two months ahead! Ofc your family and career should alwas come first. Just think "how long would i, Bo, like to be noticed in advance to reschedule a game?". You have your opponents saying to concider too. You suggested 3 days in a previous post... There are plenty of league-unscheduled days to pick from. They are way more than 3.
Admin present... Read above.

So you preffer to feel bad, mabe even humiliated for a long time insted of a short? Ok. Im not. The games is not that short that it is impossible to do a comeback. Im sure it can be done. Against a well syncronized and skillfull sNr? Mabe not

I dont think its the rules that is the main problem right now. Its the running smooth thing. Could cut the passwords and give all teams rcon-pass and leave it to the teams to fix mapchanges and to play fair. If this happens, dont blame me if it gets abused and if hostility would rise, mabe even out of control. Fx, to fake-nick and mess things up, or claim fakenicking when caught doing a bad thing, will always be a riskfactor. PB reveals a GUID that can be traced/connected with a player. Ok, if you have more than one key that is accepted by PB, you still will be able to stay anonymous. Ups, this is another discussion...
To prevent everything is very hard. I sure dont know how to or even if its possible at all. My belief is that Sub7 wanted to atleast try to offer some basic security/protection to all players. This has shown 2 b harder than he predicted.

khm ... Ill try show my opinion briefly:

1) I have to agree that freezelimit = 10 is not enough. Map is over within 5 minutes when nobody is camping Perhaps it depends on maps... Dunno... However GenY team played against GOQ on dm7 which is a pretty large map.
Imo freezelimit could be raised to 15-20. Sth like that.

2) Bout not showing up teams and so on ... - Thats an easy topic. If someone does not care he will not come - game shedule is pretty easy to find, so imo its not a big deal to plan 40 minutes of gameplay one week in advance if one really wants to play. But - if there are some really good reasons for absence (like - oh my grandma i s dying) one should ask admin to forward the game.

3) PB and pure should be 1. Imo even when admins are specing its quite easy to use cheats without being spotted.

4) Admin presence - huh ... I dont really care if one is present or not. But I agree that some people find using rcons impossible so ...

5) ... and last OFFTOPIC ... I really - DO NOT like freezetag ... huh ... Never liked it

I'm just old fashioned i suppose. When i express my opinion i dont use 'crap' or 'stupid' about other peoples doing to make my point. Not to start off a simple and supposed friendly and constructive discussion like this mabe was supposed to be anyways.

Me just wants ppl to get a second view of things. U show them some of yours, i show them some of mine. I had some hope in that a few more of the other involved/participants would show us some of theirs.
Contradiction(?); Imo, public discussions about this matters at this stage of a league should not be at all. I think it even could do more harm than good!
To me, defending this and not even being the man in charge soz, is not worth the risk of losing any friends.
