Is this true, Nether? Found some facts about laser-ass g500s.

1- Never experienced any lags with it, as you said the only software problem I encountered is accel which is a very slight feeling you can quickly get used to.

2-Those ceramic pads are absolutely not a problem to me as I play on some rubber mousepads, silent everytime. Happy Hardware talking, I'd say the wire which is wraped in some cloth is the only thing I didn't like as it is very fragile and prevents the rubber wire underneath from being straight and flexible.

3-Yeah I saw those people complaining about the scroll wheel, I personally find it to be convenient AF, for gaming as for other use.

My FK2 (&FK2013) = 85g, and ZA13 = 80g, the latter has higher ass, so i assume it will fill your palm better than FK2, and will be more suitable for palm gripping, i tend to grip FK2 using claw grip style mainly + palm sometimes, though it doesn't fill my palm fully. Kinda loving FK2 right now with possibility to use hybrid palm style, i don't like to stay with one grip style all the time.

thank u very much for the report mate )) one last think, what about fk2 and fk2013? and fk1? which are the differences and which seems to be "better" somehow? i tend to clawgrip, acually using for long time g9 wihout any cover, then cable is giving me problems once again so atm im using mx518 till i'll fix g9, but too big for my grip/gameplay. so seems about ZA series, since the ass is higher, i guess i'd prefeerr fk2/2013 then, coz with g9 i don't use palm at all.

Hehe, would be thinking about cable replacement, as there are some in China, 5.45usd for one rubber cable of mx510, already ordered it to swap heavy cable for Sica, but eventually returned it, if i like the mouse, i am keeping it for sure : > Logitech G502 braided cable is still quite good in flexibility, i like it along with zowie's smooth rubber ones.

Talking about positive acceleration, i bet i could get used to it, but i need to play more with laser mouse Sensei Raw, to tell how much limited am i in game. For example i sense limitation with 3050 entry level Avago sensor, i can't do a lot of jumps smoothly and be faster than opponent, i can't get some great positions in map quickly enough and control them. In the end i'd like to have less things of "get used to it", and have "plug n pwn" thing.

Spinning scroll wheel is just great using web browsers and e+ console! Big grin Love it on G502. So i see you're pretty satisfied with g500s, good to hear Happy

i have gone for 2013 rebuy just for nostalgic reasons, and also it was very cheap (5x cheaper than a new one) and in absolutely good condition after cleaning it. If you don't have nostalgia for fk2013, would recommend a better sensor and FK2, they are almost the same shape, FK2 prolly 2-3mm wider than 2013, and i'm in love with a sensor right now, bug free, weird behaviours free, and doesn't ask cheese. I've tried FK1, it's a refresh of 2013, but noticeably bigger, hm, i sold it, was trying to get used to it's bigger size, but i gave up. If you liked smaller FK2013, again recommendation will be FK2.

My next review is FK2 vs FK2013, have them both near my table! I will comment more things about FK2 in it, Diablo and others, stay tuned!

which mouse u using atm? got a list of favourite ones? most u liked?

atm deathadder 3g v2, I will update on this later.

@Ufas: is that measurement accurate? because i don't think u hit 4m/s the way u move the mouse.
also it looks like ur sitting a bit to high in that video.

Happy , yeah, i was trying to get some angle so ppl could also see the mouse, not only mostly the quake on screen ; -) There are two testers, one is from Enotus, and it shows up to 5.8m/s when i swipe on diagonal of big mousepad (44x32cm), big mat helps easier to test speed than my smaller 35x27 aluminium, this Microe's tester shows time, you can tell the certain speed at different times presented on diagram, so i think this one is more helpful than Enotus, also another thing is, Microe's tester shows X and Y axis speeds only, but if i swipe diagonaly, it continues counting, but plot results are absolutely unclear for me, whereas Enotus displays max speeds whatever direction you swipe. In the game i did really swipe slower, in the desktop (on X axis) i swiped way stronger, to the point where my hand gets tired too quick.

FK2 with A3310 gives me pretty much the same max speed, swiping diagonal directions on Enotus ~5m/s, haven't tested on Microe's yet.

PS. Got swipe on x axis on Microe's with FK2 @1600dpi, nothing new with 3310, on Enotus over 5m/s

Also took FK 2013 (avago 3090, max tracking ~ 3,3m/s to 4m/s depending on mousemat) to test it for the first time ever on Microe's, couldn't get any faster, several tests with both mice, and i am putting best attempts here. 3,2 to 3,3 m/s, sth similar to Enotus tests 2years ago : ]

hmm, so it really looks like you exceed 4m/s - quite unrealistic, but im sure ur measurement is as accurate as the program tells you.

my problem about laser mice is either their random acceleration or their malfunction speed. for example the steelseries diablo3 edition (which is effectively a sensei raw) cant keep up.

edit: about the random acceleration thing
it allows you to play on the sweet spot - the spot were it is either to slow or just to fast to aim/move.

If your sensitivity is higher u can throw away mice with random accel - u need perfect control speed.

So if i'm right, it can be negative and positive accel with the same mouse? Took Sensei Raw (SS Diablo3, SS Black Ops II the same Avago9500), slightly over 4m on first attempt, 2nd attempt 4.4~, with Deathadder's/Gladius S3988 optics i reach unrealistic 7-8 metres in Enotus, this is where my sceptic thoughts begin, 7-8m, is this even possible in labs Big grin So 4.5m/s is realistic for me, if only sensor allows it, was way limited with FK2013 back in the day : P
