Re: Mow -mod

IMO you have been the best mod around here lately, now I wonder who will keep shoutbox clean. However, you seem to be provoked too easily and take negative comments from stupid people too seriously.

To be frankly, I've also felt like you, that I'm wasting my time for stupid people (not all, but the majority), and there is also the fact that american e+ is dead, so my motivation is not the same than that of when I just joined dev team. So what I do is just to take it more lightly:
- I don't spend the same time on developing than that of when I just joined.
- I try to ignore people that says that the mod sucks without giving any reasons.
- I don't put the same effort trying to fix difficult bugs, so if I can't fix something then I just stop debugging it until I get more information.

So my suggestion would have been for you to take it more lightly too and just ignore provocations, because when you answer them you are just getting more involved and pissed. You were doing a good job here and that's what matters.

Anyway, it's your decision. Your mod rights have been removed, but you are free to change your mind if you want to.

Mow, every time this sort of thing happens, i imagine a grown man, typing to a computer screen with anger-tears coming out.

Anyways, no sympathy cos as beast pointed out, you could choose to just tone it down and not take offense or care less or avoid people provoking you. Not only do you do that, but you over-react as well. Could be passion, could be something else.

It is meanwhile proven that a alot of people here show "herd-behavior", dont have own oppinion before others have posted.

It was exactly the same "herd-behaviour" that made a lot of people i know and share a clan-tag with quit this place and sever all links with community. And you are yourself shoving this "herd-behaviour" by getting unproportionally agitated by some guy( s ) criticising fala for his point on the cheater thing

edit after terror's reply: i was a moderator for like 6 months in 2006 (2007?) and never had any problems with the things mow is so agitated. Madbringer however felt in a similar way. Question of sensitivity and of passion i guess

In the context of "in 2007 while being a mod", nej.

During the great e-rage of 2009 i did quite a lot, but the part where "a lot of people from my clan no longer want to be here for same reasons" pretty much covered it.
