1) I'd like to point out that taking QL maps is illegal and could potentially land e+ in trouble with id software for using them in a mod-centered competition. Just thought you guys might want to know that. (plus, it's not really a form of promotion at all, it's just a form of vanity if you take a map someone else made, and then edit the images to promote your own cup. We've all fucked about with img's inside .bsps to find out how q3 maps are compiled (a lot of people i know have done that with xcm_tricks2))) Which brings me to the next point
3) Actual promotion. If you wanted to reach the maximum potential audience, instead of stealing maps, I'd try doing actual announcements on a lot of different quake portals. Esreality, offical QL forums (actually, don't do ql forums cos of the maps + only noobs and morengs read QL forums), q3reloaded, plus National quake metagaming websites like QLcom.ru, Polish quake websites, EsportFrance, etc)
2) I'd remove dm8, since it's a competitively stagnant map for this config. The only quake area it works well in is plus, because of multijumps and weapon jumps, however in QLinsta, it's horrible since there are 2 floors, and only 2 jump-pads in between the floors (on opposite sides of the map), it's not great for gameplay as it encourages clans to +back on 1 tier, thus stagnating gameplay.
I'd advise either psi-dm7 or I could try to get one new QL maps (the new/"exclusive" quake live maps are done by map makers who provide alternatives for q3, for example hektik was remastered for cpm by cityy)
17) "Pointing system" should be "Points system", since pointing is basically doing this (watch what the blonde in the picture is doing)
I believe the person who drafted the original cup rules on e+ and missed this typo (and every single cup organizer who copy+pasted it without proofreading) should be round up and shot for abusing language like that.
9) Actual "Points system" is lol. I'd do the same shit as over on clanbase
(check tables @ http://clanbase.ggl.com/rating.php?lid=12914). Wins/Losses/Draws for ranking, and then Map Losses/Wins to establish differences between clans that are tied on points. It's a new system over in e+ but it's been used EVERYWHERE FOR THE PAST HUNDRED YEARS.
10) Really nice on making a really nice map system, pick-pick with a fair "drop-drop" system in case of a tie map: it's scary to see someone from excessiveplus making a rational decision that actually makes sense May this be the first of many. Winter's edge - it's good idea to add jumppad near garden (like on ospdm1) and to make elevators faster (like here )

I've temporarily moved this thread to a public forum to show what I am talking about: dm8 is a stagnant map and a natural campfest, although it's easy to adapt to such a gamemode, and in my opinion is a horrible choice. I don't recall any cups that wanted to popularise this (except for e+ BRO/PLUS config style, but there you can at least rocketjump to move up). (and it's not architectually similar to dm13... dm13 is assymetrical, three-tiered and has open spaces, teleports and ways to go down between floors, while dm8 has limited peekways between floors, and long corridors + with QLinsta config would force clans to turbo-camp, and has done so in the last cup I played).
About the link for league I proposed: I know and understand that with this amount of clans it's a league i was showing you how matches are scored and clans are ranked. Wins/Losses is what ranks teams, and in case two teams have same amount of wins, they are divided by map win/loss ratio. This system for "3 for 2:0 win, 2 for 2:1 win, 1.5 points if BOPOH plays, 1.32 points if you get a gaunt kill, 0.45 if someone on your clan says PENIS" is ridiculous. The only thing that should matter is wins/losses, with maps won/dropped being tiebreaker for clans that have same wins, it's much fairer system and universally used in regular sport, and online clan competitions.
Of course both of those are your decisions and it's not a disaster if you go against either, but I suggest you to change them, as they would improve the smoothness and outlook of cup (i've organised and contributed a fuckton of cups so i am not just making things up)
