Re: optical or laser mouse?

mouse: logitech mx518 1600dpi
pad: razer destructor
sens = 0.67
accel = 0.016
yaw+pitch = default

Before I had logitech G5 and razer Lachesis & steelpad QCK+
Both shitty as hell, same like qck pad (IMO).

cos deathadder 3g and diamondback 3g uses infrared optical senzor with 1800dpi resolution. Deathadder 3,5g using laser senzor with 3500dpi. laser sux so deathadder 3g > than deathadder 3,5g. Deathadder 3g was propably last gaming mouse with optical senzor made by this brand

i have g9, now using 1800 dpi

laser > optical . my opinion

learning something useful:
if some1 saying not then i wanna know the why
______
epsislow

1. laser sensors tend to have lot of problems on dusty surfaces, not clean pad, and most cloth pads

2. laser sensors can't keep up with low sensitivity, there is only one laser sensor which can do that ADNS-9500 (xai, g500, g9x) but it is not perfect at all

3. due to windows api limitations every mice who had more than 400cpi will surfer from negative acceleration while u are playing on in_mouse -1 (u can of course limit the amount of commands by windows sensitivity slide bar or in mouse drivers but then wot for u bought 9000cpi mouse?)

IntelliEye 400cpi (IE, WMO)
ADNS-3060 800cpi (ak-47, x710fs, ikari optical)
ADNS-3080 1600cpi (mx518, fatality 1010)
ADNS-3668 1800cpi (deathadder, salmosa)

these 4 sensors are the only one witch are truly trustworthy

I am addicted to life.

Re: optical or laser mouse?

I have two mice (i have more than 2 but its not important now). Microsoft Intellimouse optical (optical mouse) and Logitech RX1000 (laser mouse). Both of this mice i used on the same mouse pad Steelpad QcK+ (iam using it at work). Optical microsoft mouse gave me exact results. Logitech has sometimes problems with tracking. That sux for work. When i used RX1000 on wooden table desk without pad i had not problems with tracking. BTW when i tried it for q3 use it lost tracking in hi speed moves so this mouse is useless for both use. Microsoft intellimouse optical rulezZz Happy
