Hi mates!
I've been working on a new server config for the last few days. It is not finished yet, and the PRO name is temporary (I just didn't find anything else that would fit). I called it PRO because I wanted to make a slower config, where item pickup would make a difference and with a slower weapon switch time. I wanted to make the rocket actualy more useful than BFG, without losing the interest of it. All the trickjump are still possible (BFG tricks, grenades moving) and there is multi-jump fixed at 4. I based my config on RatSalad's CPMA config, but almost changed everything except the Plasma. RatSalad config is very balenced, but doesn't use somes of the E+ best aspect (multi-jump, BFG and grenade tricks, etc). I post it to have some feedback about it! I hope that you all enjoy this first version of the config.

Well, I loved RS's cfg and had a blast testing it with him as he made it, so I have to give this one a try also.

oooly moooly. more people who want slower, more gameplay-involved configs. how i'd underestimated the e+ folks. (well its just one more person but makes a difference.)
count on me to test or play with or whatever.
ps: oi. y dont u add this on ur be server? testing it with bots is zzz.

I could of course stay the server opened for a day or too and see if people seems to join and stay. We're looking for a server rental so if we get one, when we'll have it I'll set it for some days and collect comments from people. Otherwise we'll probably go for plus.cfg in general. But that's a good idea, I'll run my server for the next few days

well tbh i dont think ur gonna have people into a slower config. so much better would be to keep plus as default but make ur config votable. and try get some players to go play on the config. if people see a lot of guys on the server in the spider, theyll naturally join out of curiosity

incrase multijumps to 5, since the multijump bug (in some situations 5 in some 4) it would be much easier gameplay on dm17 (5 is needed for some tricks and with the bug it will be 5/6 mj)

You are right Wonko. I've not seen much people showing interest in a slower config. I like plus, deex and bro config, but I always feel something is not accurate, something that blurs the balance of the gameplay. The PRO config is mainly an hook into the Excessive+ communauty to see if any interests will evoke. This config is based on my opinions and I think they show through quite eloquently, though they're not representative of every player's waiting. Here is where I want to go : create an interest in a slower config. I don't want to place a fracture with the current played configurations, but I am asking to the one interested in the making of such a slower config. I am ready to accept any help as this will be the fruit of our experience, to all players. I think something more pro-like would add a next degree to the Excessive gameplay (I am not saying current config are not pro, but something more of like CPMA, etc). Interested people, show up!

I did help him too with his first version
He asked me to shoot him with every weapons to see their damages 
I miss playing with Rat 
But I'm starting to feel the same need as him to move to something else, this is why I did that config, but I'm sure nobody will like/play it. Unless you want some good aim training, I think it is good 
I played a 1vs1 with DoomSayer (my brother), and it appeared to make players more even if I can say. He did relatively better than on plus.cfg. I'd like to play plus.cfg more often with a good ping :roll:
