q4 and excessive?
btw, q0 will be just a test-and-info-collection-version for the real q5, since q0 will be for free, financed by advertising, a shiny version of q3, with new graphics and up-to-date technique.
I dont understand here the F2-votings, as it would have any influence. Some people will try it, and go back after the first day, some people will give it a chance for a longer time and some made already a final decission about q4.
problem is, many players who have q4, have uninstalled it, and will maybe never install it again.
I will give it a try, but i also think, i will never be able to let my fingers away from e+.

quake 4 is pap from what i have played, but heh xD i have it on the shelf just in case this Q4 e+ type thang becomes a reality.

What would be the kind of feature interesting in q4 Excessive that we can't expect in q3? And thus, it's worth moving to q4.
I mean, when I look at cpma, which is the most advanced mod imo, i barely see a point to move to q4 (don't like q4 graphics, but crouchslide is ok).
So what about this Excessive q4?

Ash just wait for a beta to come out, give it a try and then decide. As Mow said this is not a F1/F2 thing, everybody can give it a shot and IF they like it they can start playing it regularly. We will not be be trying to convince you all to join, so just a lil more patience and you will see for yourselves.

look, i think baseq3 sucks, but e+ is amazing. See how much a mod has impact on the game itself? Seeing as none of you have tried GTR how can you form an opinion of the game? blah...

Great Idead K[] and company . I've been playing Q4 myself this past months, A bit extrange in comparison to Q3 ofc. It would be nice to see Q4 with E+ configs though . Carry on with the idea, If I would known anything of coding I would help ... Since I don't Good luck with the Project ....peace...

2009 seems a fair bit exaggerated.
anyway back to q4. i get why people think its a bad game. it is. it was released in a state not really fit for mp gameplay, least not on the net. however the first screen on the teaser is a bit lol. gameplay sucks, switches too long. erm sorry, u do realize its called quake right?. i used to have a default, fairly baseless opinion that q4 sucked, but thought it through a bit and i actually think the gameplay itself would actually be quite interesting to someone interested in serious gameplay (aka non excessive ). its not as slow as vq3 and not as fast as cpm. combined with the fact that there are now decent duel maps, id give it a try as soon as i get a pc that can run it. that is is if i can find a low ping server to play on.
