Or just marketing hype once again?
damn that roccat mouse looks pretty nice
full of marketing shitz so it seem to be smth like on razer site. I wonder is it another crap like Raptor-Gaming crap mouse? well we will see.
edit:
• ProAim Gaming Sensor with true 2000 dpi • 6,5 Megapixel resolution
• 7080 fps (Frames Per Second)
• 15G acceleration
• 1ms response time
• 1000Hz polling rate
exacly same like parameters like in Avago/Agilent ADNS-6010 sensor which is used in mouse like: g3/g5/g7 copperhead habu x-750 and mouse other.
• Distance Control Unit (DCU) • Integrated 40MHz Turbocore Unit
• 96kB of internal memory
• 5 profiles for ultra long macros
• Individually adjustable light effects
• Software Developer Kit (SDK) for light effect programming
• Fastclip Weight Kit with 4 easy to clip-in weights (5g, 10g, 15g und 20g)
• 10 mouse buttons (6 programmable) and 4D scroll wheel
• Hybrid shape for right handers
• Vehicle Control Mode
• Ultra silent mouse feet
• USB connection
• Distance Control Unit (DCU) - control of what? ;>
• Integrated 40MHz Turbocore Unit - uber turbo charger super unit imo its just this shit what normal ppl called dsp
• Individually adjustable light effects
• Software Developer Kit (SDK) for light effect programming - just owned me rly, ill be able to make disco another reason why its mouse for pr0 gamerz0rs
• 5 profiles for ultra long macros - like they cant wrote long macro, they have to add smth like uber ultra mega pro turbo ect.
• Ultra silent mouse feet - another ultra mega pro thing called teflon feet
and the best:
• USB connection - o fuck Oo usb mouse
so sum up so me it looks like another mouse designed by marketing than to real pro gaming, i suppose it will based on good know sensor which is good but only with good firmware and for high/mid sens player. Ofc i can be wrong, but every sings on sky shows its this sensor. For players the most important is perfect control, good shape which fit player, good feet not stupid light uber macros and drivers which will make problems. Anyway we will it after good test.
[/][/]im guessing the DCU is something that determines the activation distance from sensor to surface, low DCU = operates at only mouse touching surface, 0.x mm higher is controllable if u understand ? not sure maybe someone else can clarify
is that even an issue? they say it is for laser mice, but never noticed anybody mentioning it.
if they were really serious about this, they shouldnt have filled their site with such utter bullshit. "the aimo will be yours". keep the aimo, even better shove it up ur @$$ thanks. fairly obvious their target isnt the "pro" gamer, its the casual gamer whos more interested in gadgetry that looks good.
anyway will be interesting to see actual reviews of how this thing performs. altho i have to agree it looks sexy. but then again looks isnt what im looking for when i buy a mouse, and i dont think anybody with half a brain will either.
ps: perfect mouse for kobra xDDDDDDDDDD

i know what is lift of distance and what has influence on that (lens, mouse pad material, distance between surface lens and sensor) and i wonder how it could works, only one explain is another sensor to check distance which will turn off sensor when distance between pad and sensor will be to far. But i cant image it in real.
if u can select different options to make it vary like i say, 0.x mm from surface, i can imagine it happening, but 99% probable a company like this wont have this sort of technology

Whole this site is teh uber ultraz0r.
About mouse, it looks push, but i wouldn't feel nice with it as long as it isn't simetric
Distance Control Unit The DCU constantly measures the distance between the mouse and the surface. As soon as the distance exceeds a certain value, data transmission is being interrupted and the cursor remains in its position. Unwanted cursor movement is therefore not possible. The player can individually define the threshold distance within the driver. The ROCCAT Kone gaming mouse is the first mouse in the world to feature this capability.
fixed on ie 3.0 by sensor itself, as soon as its lifted more then 1.5 mm it stops working^^
What a crappy site
How much does this shit cost compared to razer or logitech?
Sql, if i'm not mistaken other mice don't even have their own core, let alone "turbo".
Here's an in-depth description of this promising monster:
Honestly, i'm more than willing to give it a try...after i talk to some fellow gamers that have already ordered it
ps. I'm just gonna open a separate topic, dont wanna hijack this one.
