Come over and check out our servers, location in Texas for pretty good pings over most of the US. And we run PB all the time to keep the cheaters out.

Also the combination configs can be seen on servers like doener wich use the e5r.cfg wich is e5 cfg with bro like rail (altough its not insta gib, you can survive it if you hae some armor).

My advice for building skill is play a lot of 1v1. If you loose spec the guy who defeated you. If he looses spec the one who defeated him. Just by watching players, later youll be doing the same stuff. With practice of course. I can give you example of a lot of people who were avarage, then they started playing 1v1 and became really good in a matter of weeks (of course, they had a lot of e+ expirience playing other gamestyles).

So, for the beggining, browse 1v1 servers for earning skill, and FFA servers for some aim practice. If you need help with cfg building, you can ask on Client Setup and Configuration forum.

Only, try to read the documents first to avoid getting answers like: "RTFM n00b!!!"

Since your from the US, I would also suggest checking out Mr. Pants Excessive. There are alot more servers in the US for excessive than there are in excessive plus. The only problem though is that most players choose to play in that crap PR 1.30. So yeah, no punkbuster, .

I find it fun to hop between the two mods ex and ex+, cause of the different time zones you'll find the more skilled players playing at different times. So if you can't find any good games on one mod, you can try the next.

Uhh, you sure about that?

Theres about twice as many E+ as Excessive servers in the US...
