[suggestion] teamattack, second try
So, I think i'm safe to say I'm not the only one who is at least slightly annoyed by the team attack system of the Beer.Freeze server. Of course I understand and support it's purpose of reducing spam, but:
1. it doesn't really help
2. it's also disadvantaging the wrong people
My Suggestion would be either to turn friendly fire off completely or at least to disable the damage taken from a teammember.
In the latter case the system would be a reversed friendly fire:
Teammate 1 attacks Teammate 2
Teammate 1 takes 50% of supposed damage
Teammate 2 takes 0% of supposed damage (instead of 100% as it is now)
This way the purpose behind this whole system, preventing spam, could be preserved while the negative side effects for those who are (constantly and all the time) being spammed at would be negated.
I don't consider a friendly fire like in wars an option on beer.freeze, because gameplay is too chaotic.
Please share your thoughts about my suggestion and please consider the change

F1 ! when you respawn with 1 more person at one spawnplace the first thing the person does is nade away from that place.. while you are behind that person and take the whole damage for nothing.. and also when its a 2vs1 and you hit the enemy but your teammate was in the way and you get killed coz you hit him also..
such things are really annoying..

And yes, teamattack is fucked on beer. Even though the CFG in general is fucked and totally buggy and I have no idea what kind of wanker perpetrate the CFG but yeah. Team Attack is a little tedious, maybe put turn off FF the first 5 sec in game spawn?

but not only at the spawn.. i mean in the whole game, ppl who are near to you always using bfg/nades to move and they dont take care of you.. i mean you look around first before you shoot..

but it also prepares them for more serious games, like tdm matches, where by original rulesets its the same

no, but posting more than one suggestion at once isn't helpful. also at the moment (after BSA renewed the map rotation) it's the single most annoying thing on beer.freeze and this system actually exists on beer.freeze alone. i won't suggest any cfg changes, esp not here.
fixing this system would benefit the fun of playing on beer.freeze the most atm imo
this would speak for turning ff off completely or lesser the return dmg from 50% to 25% or something similar. this point is annoying but not the most annoying thing about the system imo.
