To all the Linux Users
What are the linux users here doing to keep track of the servers you use. Windows has the All Seeing Eye and qconnect. I have a bunch of servers set in my favorites in my q3config.cfg, but there seems to be a limit on the number of favorites you can have. Just curious what the linux community is using.
I was thinking a nice bash script might be useful....
i always used only implemented server finder in q3 multiplayer menu. Occasionaly in combination with e+.net spider (on both platforms)
Have you gotten spider links to open in Quake on Linux? So far I haven't even found a way to paste links into the console.
ctrl+c & ctrl+v
strange. which linux distribution do you have :
wine+hlsw both on debian and ubuntu.
I've tried that and shift + insert, neither work.
It's probably because you are using that crap ass "Arch" distro instead of a real distro like SuSE or even Ubuntu.
Debian based Gnome distros FTW.
wine+hlsw both on debian and ubuntu.
Mario, how do you like your Wine? I like mine RED.
I will stick into that topic with my questions about linux q3 gaming.
It runs pretty smooth in my pc but mouse lags when i move it fast. Any solution to this problem? (I use xset m 0 0 to disable accel)
Do anybody use x-fi with oss drivers. Does it make q3 hang after joining game?. Mine does
Greetings
