i was amazed by voice chats in Q3 Smug , me and some of my friends used it much and there was allot of fun even just voice-chatting Big grin

Practically it is but Technically is not.
This community is about e+ therefor its about Q3.
However QL is in the same Quake 3 family games, with few/more changes added.
But in all fps games with multiplayer competence, the same communication behaviors occur.
Therefor its not that important.
Even games with limited texts for communication like Hearthstone, the same principal ideas are seen between most gamers before and after the game took place. (Greetings, gl hf, Well Played, gg)

I remember the hl2 mod scene having fun voice chat and community (most of the time).

I guess its because the games focus not on winning or losing but having a good time, also they have more sever centric community's.

i never played half life games online...i bed i lost fuckin great game seasons on multi, the single is extraordinary Sad
