reduced lg damage isnt fun, but playable.

Physics isnt playable, thats the problem. Stairs are supposed to slow you, now you bump on them. Furthermore you jump to heigh when you go out a teleporter cuz of both.

And most of all, you reduce the sense of rocket launcher to a minimum, there is no more jumppad trapping which SUXX BIG TIME.

can you please explain it a bit more !

For me feels good, maybe rocket speed is strange like epsi said. But i was mostly playing cpma lately so cant really be accurate in judgement. Movement is good, weapons are good. Idk i like it. I also feel rocket jump takes too much damage maybe? Anyway, thx for your effort. Winking

can you explain me what is the difference in the gameplay with speed 900 and 1000, i dont get it !?

Why Hitbox = usefull for newcomers in that config ( equal opportunities ) and a forwarded Bugfix from original Hitbox in Quake and the Cylinder Hitbox what was included in 2.2b!

Re: Vanilla.cfg I v2.3

What's the difference in gameplay between rocket speed "900" and "1000"?
First of all, the speed difference:
900ups is default vq3 speed,
1000ups is from cpma and qlive.
Gameplay difference - mostly noticeable in mid-air rocket shots, it's quite easier to do mid-air rocket frags with higher speed. Of course, for people who played for long years with lower rocket speed it'll take some time and nerves for them, but in the end their eff with the rocket will increase. Telling that from my own experience between jumping vanilla -> ql/cpma -> vanilla.

Re: Vanilla.cfg I v2.3

pretty easy:
slow movement + slow projectiles = average amount of hitting.
slow movement + fast projectiles = very easy to hit.
fast movement + fast projectiles = average amount of hitting
fast movement + slow projectiles = very difficult to hit.

Same goes for the jumppads, the gameplay is designed to slow you down. If ID want you to jump just as fast as possible they would have used another map design.

Atm you got no chance of defending the rocket launcher or the ya on dm6 for example.

Axioms don't need proofs. Since you change baseq3 physics and items' properties, your config doesn't match basic config. It's obvious.

After thinking about more, I've concluded that the rockets dodge wont have to loose to much. The difference is too small in mid fights while in long fights 100 ms less at each 1000 units is bearable.

Where it will lack however is at air rockets because small ms differences can mean missing the target.
And how i said, you're messing with my air rockets zen sense.
