Hm. Ok, only other thing i can think of (related to foksie's q about cooling) is downloading Rivatuner and totally gimping his card's Core and Memory frequencies. Try like, half of the default for both, and see if it works then. O_o

Video problem
install CCCP. Its big codecpack. I have good experience with it. And try to play movies via media player clasic which is included in codec pack (i think). Its very simple player so it have to play it without crash or stuff. I have Asus V9999 gfx. Its 6800. AGP version. Iam using forceware 91.47. I never had any problem in any game/aplication with this drivers. I know its not actual but why change it if worx great
that wouldnt make any sense ;d
since in games it runs at best performance.
but if u really want i will do that.
