And when did u have dictatorship in here? man - having a group in charge of taking care the forums does not necessary mean dictatorship. And its not a fucking nation to speak about democracy - its just a plain, simple forum. What about will be next poll - wich will again make ppl into unnecessary fights?

The thing is that u just dont trust current mod team, and u want a democracy control above them. Great - it works in real life - but moving it into place like internet board to complicate things more and more ... its kinda radiculous absurd.

How interesting. So, basically you're saying it's Gasol's own fault for JUST being the only e5 player? Was he supposed to post on every e5 forum that there's a poll about it?

Since Wax did a damn good job on the response to the rest of your post, i'm just gonna comment on this particular part.

What the hell? Did i said that? Did i even hinted at that? I'm pretty damn sure a whole lot of other E5 players knew about the way a new moderator will be chosen - it was bloody three weeks worth of time to make an application! What i said, was, that Gasol should not get votes just because he was the only one who did apply. That is WRONG. Why is it wrong? Read Wax's post.

Actually, if you fail to see what is wrong with that, i'm honestly worried about your moral backbone...

1. you can NEVER satisfy everybody.

2. MANY complained about lack of "democracy" on these boards and not being able to "choose" their mods. Now once we presented this opportunity, MANY disagree with it, which is perfectly normal as we all have our own and different views.

3. Take this as a public case study in the forums if u want, which should be used for future reference when complaints about mod team decisions/way of operating arise.

On a final note....

Personally i think this whole thing just proved that you cannot ALWAYS make important decisions based on the "community's will". Simply because this community is as diversified as possible, which is totally normal and it will never reach an unanimous decision (except major rare cases). Maybe now some of you will finally understand that sometimes SOME decisions should be left alone to the governing body of these boards, and it/they should be applied as this governing body sees fit. Do you really want more or less "biased" polls for EVERY decision we take? Think on that for a while.

Democracy (with its ancient meaning) is good.
.........but then....you start talking to the voters and want to kill yourself ;]

"I vote for X cause he has a nice name" lmao
===
[totally_offtopic]The base of democracy is Education (with the far broader meaning of the word) and Active Citizens. I look around me and i see none of both... (edit: not here, generally)[/totally_offtopic]

Im not against the ppl who born to have a boss, i can have a boss but i need to be counted too in all decitions that afect much ppl. here is when democracy have sense.

I will not discuss about democracy.

About trance comment : 3. Take this as a public case study in the forums if u want, which should be used for future reference when complaints about mod team decisions/way of operating arise.

Wrong way to act, the corect is:
3. We will Take this as a public case study in the forums. We must keep working to make it better the next time, starting with a secure poll wich bring us more security in all the process not only in this. This was only our first step building our system to help the mod team decisions.

We has been felling ourself like a drop of water out of the ocean, smalls, weak, etc.
What if we introduce the drop into the ocean?
From that perspective the drop do not feel itself anymore small or weak ... Can u feel what it means?

May u stop comparing reallife to forums? Comapring mod team to ur boss is just not really close comparement.

and when it comes to the second thing: u say then that mods are babies that cannot make own decisions, or you want them to ask everytime the community? Then what is a reason to have mods - when every time the community will be called upon to vote?? Or are they just to clean spam posts?

ITs so simple as this.

Im not sad in any way about all the things that are happening around, hehe its courius but this votations are making ppl to wake up, participate and be around. Its good!

Im pretty sure that more ppl will be on forums after this Happy , hehe its curios to see how many ppl voted for krast and its his first or second post since he joined the forums Happy, i will see how many more post they will have after this vote/replay.

And just one thing about that pessimistic feeling :
Im sure democracy is not the perfect way that humas will found on his evolution, but for the moment is the only way since i dont like Dictatorship.

Greetings

(Not gonna bother replying to Wax, he's pretty much right.)

The truth is, democracy doesn't exactly succeed, because people don't want to participate, either that or they're lazy, and also the fact that they're easily influenced. I'd agree 100% to the fact that democracy holds no ground in a forum, and the current staff should take a vote about it (mod thing).
