WANTED ! VIDEOCARD PRO
thats a good one, i cannot find a single standard windows thingy that shows u clearly what motherboard or videocard connector u use.
if you turn on msn i can give u a program which displays all comp info.
but if you do know what your exact motherboard is then you can look that up on google. then that program is not nessacery.
*cough*nerds*cough* <-----j/k i have the nvidia 6800 works just fine and runs quake ausomely i haveno idea abotu computers though
i have GF 6800 256mb and it's very good v card all new games are working on 60-100 fps and it's enought for me (pc: amd x2 3800, 512 ram)
KickZ:
do I find out if I have PCI or AGP?
U have agp cuz mobo for athlon x are only with agp. Plz remmeber about good psu when u will change gfx card. Cuz card like gf 6800 or 7800 eats 100 W. If u have lowe psu as 360W u can must buy new.
What happens if my cpu can not miss 100W supply to the gfx??
(no idea what I am asking here...)
I have a standard PC, nothin g modified AMD XT 2600+
is there enough power in this baby to support the card BERT mentioned?
agp:

http://www.alternate.nl/html/shop/productDetails.html?artno=JAGXA5&i wouldnt go for anything less.
and they will do very well for quake4 @ 1024 768 low quality
you can look at your power supply, it will state the output on the case.
as for gfx card with most newer cards, you pc will support(if the card is agp)
But your cpu will bottle neck so you will not run it at its full potential
better than MSI RX1600Pro http://www.alternate.nl/html/shop/productDetails.html?artno=JBGN01&
is this one:
geforce 7600 http://www.alternate.nl/html/shop/productDetails.html?artno=JAGU46&

well at the moment my tag is HULKX.
because i see almost everything in green and my opponents look like little Hulks
So i think € 150,= is a nice price to at least solve that problem and replace my ATI 9800
looks like the hot weather melted all dust to a staic field ...or smt
tnx for helping guys
ye i burned an ati 9800 think those need to be kept very cool(mine had extra cooling as well) or maybe they just get scared or too much e+
gl witn your purchace !
Dont take an GF 6800. Its a "normal" card today. If you want to play with your PC games from next year too you need a newer one. Like GF7800 or even heigher. Just they have the power for games of next generation.
I have a GF 6800, so i know what i am talking about.
