Wide for Q3, or for all games is best. Who never had wide screen cant say that is worst. Cool

And for on-topic - HP is a good choice, but if it will be for gaming, Samsung is best. Cool

From my one-year experience with 20 inch widescreen (which I can say is pretty good) buy 22:D. I'm serious, IMHO on 20 the dot is too small for me, and also those 2 inches make big difference (20 and 22 monitors have same resolution).
Anyway I use samsung 205 BW and it's quite good (as for TN3 matrix) watching movie in HD is pure pleasure (now I even can't look on Prison Break in dvd quality). For quake widescreen is very good, cause you have more visible space on the sides.

for quake is still the best 4:3 CRT and the worst is widescreen LCD. For other stuff like work, watching movies etc is widescreen LCD better.

So question is how importatnt is for you ergonomy of fragging in quake and how much ergonomy of other stuff Idea :!: Arrow

Yes and I hear 206BW is even better.
coldy i got your pm but really,i think all is written in the topic skull gave link to.For gaming, dont consider anything xcept TN matrix lcd monitors, preferably 5ms or lower (if under 20",20" and higher u wont find 2ms i think) I agree with beazt on using 4:3 lcd for quake, thats why i bought such a screen, cause i play on 800x600 or 1024 which would look crap on a mid or low class widescreen lcd.

near enough same spec, just different shell - 2 best monitors atm imo Winking

to be honest, i think dualscreen is perfect for me...it gives me enough space for gfx work and apps, but maintains that all important aspect ratio for q3, widescreen q3 for me isnt great (due to sens weirdness)
